Keyless Entry Module???
Hello, i got a 95 bonneville SE , well the top of the windshield seal dry rotted i guess and when it rained moisture would come through and collect on the windshield, well when i was drying the windshield and tryin to find where the leak was, water ran under the dash somewhere and suddenly the keyless entry fob or the buttons on the doors quit working, so i checked the fuses and the one on the passenger side fuse panel was poped, so i got a new fuse, it poped, the guys at the part store said it was the relay cuz when i hit the unlock or lock on the door or fob you can hear something (Clicking) under the panel on passanger side but all the interior lights would come on like it normally would, so i got a new relay, put that in, still does the same thing, is this something that can be fixed by just getting a module from a junk yard or new and where is the module located? some people said it was behind the radio cuz of all the heater and A/C ducts.... thanks for reading and hope someone can help me... Thanks

Re: Keyless Entry Module???
Please tell us exactly what fuse is blowing so we can look up the schematics, and I'll move this topic to the proper section for you.

Thanks... The panel is the H-Car panel on the passanger side floor board panel Part#25623202 is you need that. the fuse that keeping blowing says PWR ANY/LOCK SWITCH 15A... but i remember that after it kept blowing, i just let it sit like that for a couple weeks and then i put a 15A fuse back in it for giggles and it didn't blow???? so i'm not sure whats going on... still clicks and the lights all come on inside the car but nothing happens with the locks. so if you can help or guide me in the right direction i would be greatful.... thanks

Re: Keyless Entry Module???
So this happens when you hit the unlock button on the remote? Does the fuse blow on the first push? And does the drivers door unlock? Or does the fuse pop when you hit the button a second time?
The relay you replaced is the drivers door unlock relay, the drivers door is separate from the other 3 doors... The lock side is on the same circuit as the drivers door... The unlock for the other 3 doors is actuated by the Module and the lock relay which should be under the drivers seat...
A schematic would help you..

The fuse doesn't blow now, nothing happens when i push the unlock or lock button on either door, the relay i replaced is Drivers Door Relay under the dash on passanger side panel and nothing happens period.... i don't know whats going on... thats why i figured the module was bad or something.... any ideas????

Re: Keyless Entry Module???
Need you to check and make sure you are getting 12v at the door switch, and that you have a good ground... If both of those are good then you may need to check the Door Lock/ Unlock relay under the drivers seat.... Its buried under the carpet......
Check the 12v and Ground first.... Go ahead and clean the ground buses, under the carpet on the passenger side footwell( right side on the floor ) and the drivers side footwell( left side on the floor )

Re: Keyless Entry Module???
IIRC, the relay will be attached to a frame member on the back side of the seat attach points, it should be a little black box with 5 wires, it will be the only thing there...

Re: Keyless Entry Module???
Ok... Well i got the seat out, pulled up the carpet and there was a bigger black box with a bunch of wires going into it and a little black box with 6 wires going into it... (The one your talking about) i pulled it of the frame rail and got to looking at it, thank god it didn't catch on fire cuz the black (Ground) wire was melted to the other 5 wires??? what caused that? but i'm going to take that box later and see if a junk yard has one to test it and see if thats what it is or if i got more wires melted somewhere.... i also checked and i got power to the box plug and when i was pushing the lock and unlock i was getting power to the certain posts on the plug so the box is probably burned up huh??? alittle info on the box... the name is Potter & Brumfield VBA-2002 and i think its the part#12065122... but anyway thanks and maybe that will solve the problem.
