Hi folks its been awhile since i was here, hope all of you are healthy.What do i need to know about replacing my 1990 le balancer.Any hints? Thanks stay healthy.

You'll have to do it though the passenger side wheel well with the wheel and plastic splash guard removed. I'm fairly certain you have the same type of balancer as a Series 2/3 which requires a 3 bolt puller. You'll want something like this tool. Just be warmed that the larger universal kits usually only have 2 out of 3 bolts you need.

Also, the bolt requires serious grunt to break loose. A good impact wrench is your best bet. And as was mentioned, look in to the bolts you need. Every time I see reference to a universal kit being used, they indicate that they had to buy bolts for it too. I bought my puller from rock auto specifically for the 3800, and it got it right.

Also be careful with the crank position sensor alignment, as it's adjustable.
