I have a 89 & 90 model bonnie but one of which the motor is gone and i have a free 97 old delta 88 that was just given but i was wondering if anyone of you guys could answer some questions? Could i just dumb the series II down to series I ie change the intake and sensors or would i have to use the whole computer ecu setup and the delta 88 has a motor the top end was just rebuilt or in a nutshell could i swap the heads off the Series II on to the series I im jusy trying to find the easiest rout to go given the LN3 in my 90 has blowed heads and close to 200k and the series II has 139k and some change. Im New here and i have a 89 le that ive owned for years and i havent had any issues with it like this but my 90 is my $250 project thats all i have invested in the car but im also on the hunt for taillight lens's for both car so if anyone's know where i could grab a set that would be alot of help. Thank you to inviting me to the page and if anyone can help it'd be much appreciated thanks

In my opinion, you're better off taking the entire drivetrain (transmission and all) from the donor and swapping over. The only things you will really need to do are make a wiring adapter for the pass-through at the firewall and the main connector under the dash. I think if you have the donor you will have everything else you'll need as far as mounts and brackets and axles, pcm and harness, a free brake upgrade if you use the donor knuckle, etc.

Don't sound hard but a big hassle but me and my father got to talking we think we could swap the heads and use the LN3 with series II heads. Would we just be able to do that? Given I need my car fast because my 85 el Camino is going under time to rebuild the motor in it and thanks for the info matt anymore would be greatful thank you!!
