Post subject:  Rear struts with load/lift capabilities

My 97 SSE with 125Km has the FE2 option. The compressor will come on usually once each trip. I notice more compressor cycles when the temps drop, so the strut seals are probably getting brittle and are slowly leaking. The car is sagging in the rear slightly and the exhaust tips have torn off when going up driveways, so the tail is dragging. I suppose the bladders leak over time, but I don't want to bother replacing any of the load leveling gear.

Does anyone make a "lifted" rear strut or a heavy load strut with a coil? I guess a very stiff strut would keep the tail up. The air to coil conversions are too complicated and expensive. Any suggestions?

The cheapest/easiet route is usually to get new air struts.

Thanks. That makes sense. Anyone suggest the stiffest brand of air strut replacement.

Sounds like the best solution. Can anyone recommend the stiffest air strut our there?

I'd recommend Monroe Reflex if they still made them. But they don't. Word is that KYB is the next stiffer option. I have gone from Reflex front struts to KYB and they are pretty similar, maybe a little softer.
