Does this supply line go all the way to tank?

Could I get a line from junkyard or is this just another hassle layer?

Ive heard repair kit barbs dont seal propperly w out a special tool

This leak to rear bank of injectors, could this cause misfire?

Running to lean? CEL is not on w engine running
CEL stays on when you turn key on but dont start, all lights eventually go out except CEL

I cant find a OBD 1.5 & didnt wanna buy

Way more of a hassle to replace the whole line and good luck finding a useable one.

Fuel goes up to the rail, pressurizes the whole rail, hits the fuel pressure regulator, then returns. Not each bank.

Forget about lean and codes. Do not drive or run the car with fuel leaking on a hot engine.

Yeah I havent been driving, its alteady a tank dont wanna turn it into a bomb.

In gonna work on patching then.

Does the vaseline aide in sealing coupler or just ease installation?

You would suggest using the Dorman? Only thing out there really.

Can I pop quick disconnect loose frpm back rail and leave disconnected?

I was gonna use brAke tubing cutter and cut old hard plastic fuel line

I have made this repair. The Dorman tool works but I still had a small leak. On second attempt I slid an additional rubber fuel line over the factory fuel line before the repair and then slide it over the Dorman repair and secured with 2 small hose clamps on both sides of repair. More like an old school repair. This did fix the leak. Do not drive this car until repair is made, very dangerous.

Will doing the dorman repair kit w hair dryer spark gas? Does vaseline on barbs help w sealing?
I can do 1 side inside but other end will have to be under hood.

This fuel feed intake line is like a J shape. [Pics in 1st post] Where should I cut? At leak or near firewall and re route?
Id still like to get engine cover on

When you said slid rubber hose over, you split up side and wrapped or actually inch by inch slid?

Also 2 of these hose clamps? Tighten as far down as I can get? Zipties maybe?

I alwAys hated brakes & fuel. She not real rusty, great shape for 23 years old.

It cracked/leaked where 2 intake/return lines snap into bracket near EGR valve. Metal lines all look decent to back.

Worried about return line, it doesn't just pop off like leaking line. Looks like alot of force amd twisting to fuse old and new lines.

Will a hair dryer make a difference between a heat gun? Did you put vaseline on barbs b4 you heated?

I think in one of your other threads you said there's a SES. What is the code?

If your key is in run but the engine is off the SES light should be on. That's normal.

Its must not have a code then. I got to moving coils around and new ICM [duralast] was fried on 1/3 coils. It was under warranty still, swaped out 4 a new 1, dielectric greased 6 coil prongs & started right up.

I run thru some pretty deep water, waves at car height or higher lol.

I had a 88 Cutlass xc special edition ciera 2.5, the iron duke. its coil packs & ignition was very sensitive to water. Gun metal grey. My fav car, maybe just my 1st.

im gonna wait a few days & make sure fuel repair is good & do fried over torqued chinese food hub bearing and mAybe LCAs .
Thanks
