Good day all,
I have owned my Bonneville for over 2 years and up until last year i started having some issues which originally seemed to be the fuel pump. Changed the fuel pump and drove for around 6 months until the same problem car would crank but fuel pump would not kick on. So we tried a third fuel pump and this one lasted about 3 months.
After 2 days of sitting this last break down the car started and ran fine all day no pump failures at all. Until later that day.

Things i have checked and changed.
1.fuel pump relay - even though it is clicking and working
2.Cleaned the ground busses on driver and passenger sides - no luck
3.changed the Oil pressure switch - read somewhere this could have an effect but no luck

What else would you recommend to check i really do not feel like dropping the tank again..... :banghead:

Anyways thanks for your time and have a great afternoon/evening

What brand pump are you buying? For the amount of trouble you're having I'd recommend a low mileage junkyard unit.

Weird thing is the old pump works. I tested it with 12volts and it fired up. but once back in the tank it does not work. and we do have 12 volts at the grey wire at ignition. Not sure what else it could be the grounds seem to check out fine as well.
does the same with the new pump as well
