My outside temp display isn't giving any readings at all. Never displays anything. Not a matter of wrong temperatures like they often give when these things cause trouble but a matter of no temperature at all. I've pulled the sensor off and checked it, the connections look good and I've sprayed with contact cleaner too.

What should I check first?

I blew some fuse and that happened to me. It's probably a fuse.

What fuse(s) should I check? There isn't one for just the exterior temp. sensor, and I guess the HVAC programmer works ok...

???

the programmer is not the unit with the switchs and everything on it. the programmer is inside the dash. just start checking EVERY fuse. in the car, and under the hood. and i'm not sure if you have the fuses under your glove box on the passenger side. which is where the hvac fuse is for mine

I have a fuse panel under the dash on the drivers side. I'll start there. What other things could go wrong if this fuse is busted?

Just start pulling them out ONE AT A TIME and checking them. Go by rows so you know which ones you have covered. Blown fuses are usually very obvious to the naked eye. Either the metal will look seperated or it will be a huge black mark. Start with the fuses under the driver's side, that's probably where it will be.

Finally got around to checking those fuses. The location for the A/C Programmer fuse was on the right side, not the left where I had thought it was. I went through all the fuses and none were blown, they all look like brand new.
