SES light came on yesterday, went to autozone today and they said that was the code. They printed out a paper that said the probable causes are: Failed EGR position sesnor, Open or short circuit condition, failed EGR valve.

I did post this up on my Tranny thread but I didn't want to have 2 many things on that and wanted people to see this since the other is on page 4 and I know some people will just think its all tranny related.

But anyway what should I do with this? Replace the sensor? Were is that exactly located?

Give this a read through. Most likely it's an EGR, but some of this should help test it out.

Thanks for the site, read up on it but only problem is I don't have any of those scan tools.

Question, were is the EGR sesnor located?

I don't have most of those either. In those cases do your best to test all the things you do have available. The tests tend to point toward one or two items and usually it'll be the item instead of the pcm.

There is no EGR sensor.
