Replacing the O2 sensor, I pressed down on the top this fuel line (not sure if it is a feed or return line). Anyways, a bit of gas came out. I figure that this isn't supposed to happen, so is there an o-ring that is supposed to be in there that would prevent this (I haven't pulled it apart yet)?

Thanks,

Chris

The O-ring should be inside the female end.

That's the 3/8" fuel feed line.

If it doesn't leak under normal circumstances, that is, while pressurized and you not pressing on it, probably nothing to worry about.

If it concerns you, there are a pair of o-rings in there that can be replaced with some very careful work with a pick. Use viton size -012 for the feed connector, -011 for the return. Also might want to replace the white plastic piece that sits on the end of the fuel rail pipe and latches the connector down.

Got a PN for the white plastic piece?

Dorman:

800-005 = Five 5/16" clips

800-006 = Five 3/8" clips

800-016 = three of each size

Should be able to find these in the auto parts store, or online at Rock Auto.

----------

If you need -011 and -012 viton o-rings, let me know because I bought 50-packs of each

Yeah, I'll pick up some o-rings off of you, just PM me with payment info.

I'm checking rock auto right now for the above listed parts.

EDIT: Now that I'm looking on rock auto, I just need to order one of the above listed PN's, or all of them?

Get p/n 800-016, and you'll get three 3/8" (feed) and three 5/16" (return) clips. You only need one of each for the fuel rail.

Just PM me an address and I'll mail you the o-rings in a stamped standard envelope.

Ended up realizing that I actually had all the extra parts sitting here. Thanks again for the offer!
