My SSEi had been parked for awhile and get her back up and running, however now she is sluggish on take off and having trouble shifting unless I let off the gas (almost like a clutch). Starts to run better once it is through the first few gears, but it is a task getting there. Any thoughts?

How's the fluid color and level?

After I posted this, I realized I probably left out a couple key points:

1. the car has 92,000 miles on it
2. trans fluid seems like a healthy pinkish red
3. trans fluid level, if anything, is a little high

I considered changing the fluid, but since it was not brown or dark in color it seems like it may be more risk than gain (reading all the back and forth about to flush or not to flush).

A fresh filter can go a long way sometimes. I'm not a fan of flushes either, but dropping the pan, replacing the filter, and refilling is pretty benign in that regard.

I thought about that and figured it could not hurt, just was not optimistic about it solving the problem.

Any suggestions on the flooding of the trunk? I know my tail lamps have de-laminated and holding water and I am looking to replace them, but they are next to impossible to find brand new and I can't believe that much water is coming in from the tail lamps. I event took the spoiler off and put rubber washers on them and it is still happening.
