I recently bought a 2005 Bonneville SE with 121k miles. It always starts up great in the mornings and after work if it sits all day. Sometimes when I park it for a short period of time (up to 2 hours sometimes), it starts up but is sputtering for about 5-10 seconds, then it catches and runs great. I usually give it some gas and it comes out of it. I cleaned the throttle body and MAF sensor last week and it has improved, only done it a couple time in a week. I bought a Fuel Pressure Regulator and was going to install it but tested the other one and didn't smell any gas when pulling the vacuum line. It also looks like it has been replaced before. Any other simple ideas to check for or if anyone else had this issue and what was done to correct it. Thanks.

welcome to the club!!

since you just got it, I would inspect/change: spark plugs, wires, air and fuel filters. I would also do an oil change just to get a starting point.

I've done all of that, including dropped the transmission pan and changed the filter. Also replaced the Intermediate Steering Shaft and cabin filter

Does the car lose coolant?

since you state it improved after maf cleaning, I would try unplugging the maf and leave it unplugged for a day or 2 and see what happens - it is old, it may be on the way out.
