After intermittent everything mentioned above, I took out the drivers seat and replaced the corroded joint on the 4 tan wires.
Soldered a splice of wire in, and continuity checked out.
However, no joy.
Checked the voltage at the splice and it's only 3 VDC, (with the ignition on or not).
Seems low, should it not be 12V and what would cause the low voltage there?
Also should the ignition not toggle the power there?
Do the connections under the seat (air bag and seat motors) need to be hooked up for this to work?
Could it be bad micro relays?
Door module?
Very frustrating, any insight HUGELY appreciated!!!
So close, yet so far.

That splice of tan wires under the driver's seat is not somewhere that you will find meaningful voltage measurements. That is a data communication link between the four door modules (SBI or Simple Bus Interface) if I'm not mistaken. This is different from the Class 2 Serial Data Bus used elsewhere in the vehicle.

Is it safe to assume that the backlighting on the driver's window switch also doesn't work? The DDM (Driver's Door Module) acts as an interface between all the door modules and the rest of the car so if there is any problem with it, virtually none of the other doors will appear to work either.

Have you checked the fuse for the DDM?

If the fuse is good, I'd also check the connector where the driver's door plugs onto the body and the wiring in that rubber boot. These have been known to cause problems (particularly the wiring). The main battery feed to the DDM is a fairly heavy gauge wire and with repeated flexing over time when the door is opened and closed, the strands of the wire break.

Thanks ddalder!
Will check all of the above and report back.
I have measured 12 volts at the drivers door module, but will check the fuse anyway.
Also checked a couple grounding modules by the hood release and under the drivers seat.

DDM fuse is good.
Pulled back rubber boot on door, all wires good.
All connections in and out of the door module look to be solid.
Can't really see where the door wiring plugs into main wiring harness.

A single point of failure for multiple circuits always leads me to believe its a power issue, but maybe not .....
Interesting that the drivers door lock works with the remote entry, yet the other doors do not.

Also just ordered a new (used) DDM, to swap out.

Just to close this off ...
Was DDM.
Bought used one for $56 on eBay.
All good again!
