Well working on my gf father bonneville ssei with the Bose system. The problem is the radio turns on function correctly on display ie volume goes up on display radio changes station but no sound coming from the speaker. Fuse for the amp was good and this is where I stopped. Any help would be great. I don't think this is the same problem as radio the drive side door window rolls down but passenger side and rear doesn't do anything from any of the controls or door lock ( pretty sure the window door are separate, when I read common problem. But I wanted to add it just incase)

Thanks
Rodger

Sounds like a dead amp.

That's what I was thinking any way to use a different amp (aftermarket) well still using same wires? If you know what I mean. He just want to get the radio working for a trip to Chicago and he has few different amps

A stock replacement amp is going to be 100x easier to fix than trying to get an aftermarket amp to work with the Bose system. I have an amp if you need one.

before you replace the amp, check to make sure is it getting the 14 volt signal from the radio. That is the turn on signal. If the connector is the same as Monsoon, it is a pink wire going to the third connector from the top left at the amp. (A3) and the radio on signal wire (A8 - 8th from the top left) also pink is getting voltage from the radio.

Stock Bose head unit or aftermarket head unit? I would check Power, to the amp make sure its getting power. if it has power check the "switched" power that turns it on and off. if both work i would also suspect the amp has failed.

It is the stock Bose. It getting power from the battery the remote switch was showing no voltage. The head unit seem like it working normal the display works volume (minus sound from speaker lol) etc doesn't say need to be configured or anything i don't know I'm really think amp any help Any nor have a wire diagram. And is there a way to test the amp itself?

I had the same problem with the HU working (lighting up, stations and time showing) but no sound. I pulled my driver door panel and found that the speaker wire was shorting. Once I fixed the short, the chimes/radio started working again. Hope this helps someone as I was pulling my hair out trying to figure this one out.
