| Post subject: | Sea Foam trouble! |
I plan on treating my car with sea foam this weekend. I only bought one can and from what I read, most peope put 1/3 in the oil 1/3 straight into the tank, and the last 1/3 in to some vacuum line. My problem is, I have no clue which vacuum line to use. Is it even good to use on my car? Any help would be great. Thanks! |

I heard people do the brake booster line, but...... I don't know where it is. |

Its the round thing that the master cylinder bolts to. (Where the brake fluid goes.) |

I think sea foam cost to much to put in oil. I go buy 25 cents worth of diesel & put in oil just before a oil change. Do this when I first get a car to clean them out or after doing something like a intake. Been doing this for years. |

Honestly Hawley12 if you are unfamiliar around your car my best advice for you is to take it some where and have it professionally done even Wal-Mart can preform a sea foaming. just my .02 |

They think I'm crazy when I tell them all 2011 and newer GM engines require dexos1 or dexos2 motor oil. - BC |

Honestly, SeaFoam isn't worth the trouble if you're not familiar with basic parts on the car. There are better ways to learn, and it's really unnecessary, considering how much additive is in modern fuel already. You can do the same thing with adding some SeaFoam or other additive of your choice to your tank and driving it hard, an "Italian Tuneup". That will burn a lot of carbon and deposits out. |
