Hi my name is Blake I'm new to the Bonneville's and to the forum, and I was looking to mod my car just a little bit and I've been looking at ZZperformance but whenever I look to see if I can use the mods it never says it for my car always a Grand Prix and I was wondering if I can use...say their exhaust for my car...and I don't know if the stuff for GP can fit on my car...

Any help would be appreciated

Blake

Since there's no aftermarket for Bonnevilles a lot of what you wish to do will be custom.

Also, welcome! Where in Illinois are ya from??

GP headers will fit with slight modification to your trans dip stick. But everything after that, down pipe, and all the piping is different.

You can use any internal engine(L67)/transmission(4T65e-HD)parts. You can't use motor/transmission mounts, or anything on the exhaust besides headers.

What are you looking to do to your car as far as mods?

I was looking for a new exhaust, New pulley system for my supercharger, and new plugs and small things for the motor to run more efficient.

I know the motor was used a lot in different cars and I know I have options just don't know how far I can go.

all engine mods are compatable. A tune up, fenderwell intake and a colder termostat are a good starting point. From there you'll need to start making decisions about how much you plan to spend. Pulley swaps make power but require supporting mods.

I'm not trying to go far just little stuff to get a little more performance and some better efficiently, along with it sounding good...that's about all because its my daily so I don't want to kill my wallet on gas...

In the next couple weeks when i swap for my l67 im going to do cold air intake, 180 thermo, catless dp, power log, 3.4 pulley, 10.5 wires and new plugs with a zzp tune. about a 1000 bucks well spent for simple mods.

Basically keeps the engine, and the air going into it, cooler, denser and less prone to knock.

Would that be more recommended for the surcharged 3800's?

Honestly, if you want more sound, all you need to change is the mufflers on the back half of the exhaust, and that's only for sound, there is no restriction after the cat. Then you need to decide how far you want to go as far as headers, etc...
