I'm getting this code after changing out the LIM gasket and switching to a "drilled" 180 thermostat. Is this related to the cooler thermostat causing problems? I noticed that the car runs now at about 160-170 degrees. It also states it may be the ECT sensor???

Any ideas??

You'll get that code when you are running a 180 stat unless you have your PCM programmed for the change. Just put the correct 195 in and you'll be fine.

Is there a way to change the thermostat without draining the radiator????

Had to ask!

I never had that issue w/ my 180* stat, even w/ the stock PCM. Have you verified that the thermostat is opening correctly? How big is the hole you drilled?

Ya, but you'll spill coolant all over ;)

You can siphon it out of the radiator, easier than using the drain plug.

I'm assuming so as it never overheated on our interstate trip. It seems to run up to operating temp, buts that's just alot cooler than it used to be. I'll just swap it as I should've just left the 195 in as I don't plan on doing alot of mods until it is retired from daily use.

Thanks for the siphoning trick, I'll do just that!

Are you going by the stock gauge or a scanner? The stock gauge is a terrible indication, they're way off generally. Unless you're getting a digital reading from a scanner, I wouldn't trust it.
