This might need to be moved, but what kind of suspension does a 2000 SSEi have? Is it struts or shocks, or anything different?

Front is a McPherson Strut setup, rear is a coil spring with a separate shock (Which has an internal air bladder for leveling while loaded, but also has a standard gas shock).

Ok, I'll move this to the proper section for you.

You THINK you blew one. Which tire? Have you pulled it to inspect? Blown shocks or struts don't rub tires. You need to dig in to find the real problem before we can discuss parts.

Well, I don't have a jack right now, but tomorrow I SHOULD, thats a very slim chance though, have one, any ideas what it could be? It was making a loud rattle and clanking noise before but I didn't have any money to have it looked at, and I hit a pothole pretty bad earlier and now it's doing the rubbing.

EDIT: It doesn't knock or rattle anymore, and it's the passenger rear wheel

I took the wheel off and I could tell right away that the rear shock mount broke in half, one of the holes that the shock bolts through to the trunk snapped off and the shock fell out of the hole and was rubbing on the inside of the tire, there was rubbing on both the tire and the shock, atleast its easily fixed and I think I can do it myself, as long as I can get the bolts off. I'd have a picture but I don't have a camera.

EDIT: Something like this, ignore the red writing, and excuse the poor writing skills, I haven't used paint in awhile

So you will need new rear shocks, and mounts. I got Monroe Max Air shocks (Come in pairs only) and Moog Mounts when i did mine, from Rock Auto. Is the sheetmetal where it mounts still solid?

The shocks were about $65 for the pair, and the mounts were about $20 each. You'll need a 15 mm deep-well socket, 13 mm deep-well socket and a 10 mm socket to replace them, IIRC.

Well I took the shock off just now and it appears that I just need mounts so I took a ride up to the parts store and the mount will be in Friday morning, the mount comes off the shock it looks like, and I have to get a new set of bolts for the bottom shock mount... cuz I kinda snapped the bolt heads off of em >.<

EDIT: and for the hell of it I got a pair of rear shocks, figured I might as well replace em while I'm under it!
