Ok, stupid question. How do I get the black plastic cover off, UNDER the front of the car. Radiator took a dump and I need to inspect from under the car. I tried pulling on it to pop the clips/fasteners but, after much force, my instincts tell me to stop before I break it. What's the trick?

There should be a series (maybe 7-10) snaps holding it on. Take a flat head screw driver and pry the center piece of the snap first, then the complete snap should slide out.

Side cutters works a lot better to remove them.

But don't cut them off, just use them to get the pin out far enough to get your fingers on it.

I usually cuss and swear at them until the inner pin is freed from debris and slides smoothly like designed. Then they work flawlessly and assemble quickly!
