First off, do you know where and how to check the trans fluid level? It is a "cap" that is underneath the air filter on the transmission. The car must be idling in park, otherwise no fluid is in the area of the dipstick. Check the level, color (pinkish/red or brown) and smell of the fluid (normal, or burnt) and report back. I would have it changed (or change it yourself) and add a bottle of Lucas Trans-Fix if it's never been changed. You might want to add a pint of Seafoam TransTune for 100 miles before you change it, in order to clean the crud out of the solenoids, etc. |

It might be a good idea to jack it up, support it, and take a good look for leaks. Where are you located? Maybe a local member can meet you and help out. |

The only stupid question is the one that doesn't get asked and costs $4000, lol. I know how you feel. I remove the air box lid on our GXP to check it, as I have big hands too. It's not like I'm pouring dust in there or anything. |

Your PCS solenoid may also have been acting up due to the low fluid too. |
