My headliner is drooping and looking pretty sad. I've replaced quite a few of these things and find it an incredibly pain. With the sunroof opening and the contour of my "o1 SSEi, I really don't look forward to this job. I've seen pictures of guys that used 100 clothespins and a 12 pack of cans of soda to make the headliner lay correctly while the adhesive dries. Again, I'm not looking forward to this.
I'm thinking about the "old school" look that my '69 Chevelle had. The headliner was a synthetic fabric that was stitched to supports. I've also thought about a "tuck and roll" sort of look where the headliner would be stitched every 4 or 6 inches to the backer. So it would be "puffy" between the stitching but drawn tight where it was stitched to the backer.
Any ideas or pics would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Really want a rootbeer now.

I did mine in my 92 when I was 16 and it was indeed a huge pain. I loved the result but probably wouldn't dig the look now. I posted some pics of it recently if you need ideas. Ill link it if I have time.
