I recently put a head unit in my car, and everything works great. I used one of those mount kits you can buy at Walmart or the like, and I HATE how it sticks out much further than the stock radio. I've seen people with flush mounts, so the front of the stereo sits exactly where the stock one would. Where can I buy something like this? Google didnt give me much luck...

Also, I have two 12" inch subs that I want to wire so they are 2 ohms. They are dual 2ohm voice coil. Heres how my old ones were wired, I dont know who/how they were wired but Im looking to have it hooked as 2ohm so I can get the full 900 rms out of my amp. Heres how they are wired; should I change anything or is this good?

Go to a local audio store and buy one. Should be 10-20 bucks. They don't stock crap.

www.humount.com used to sell them, but I'm not sure if they do anymore. Email them.

That's actually a pic of one of my cars. ;) I got it from a member that had it and sold his car.

They'll still make them for you. I like the mount, and it's only a little more difficult to install than a generic. It's a nice effect in the dark.

Supercharged just so happens to be pictured, but there is a lot of options at the bottom of page, that will allow him to select one that agrees with the attributes of the vehicle in question.

Also, i wouldn't run 2 leads of wire from the amp. Unless, that's just how it was pictured. you'll save yourself some wire mess and some wire by just doing as posted in my pic.

Ok, I feel really stupid. My amp is 900 RMS, when I hook 2 speakers up to that do I divide that by 2 or does it still put out 900 to each speaker?

You divide the total RMS by the number of outputs it's designed for. Unless it says "25x4" or "900x2". If it's just 900, and you have two outputs (L/R), it's 450 each.

Just wire it as stated in my post. you'll be set. Don't run separate leads if its a 2 channel amp. Bridge it out. You'll get 900 running to the set.

Finally got my hu mount, figured I would post some pics but they are crappy since they are from my cell phone. They are relisted on the site so you can order them now also. I just got a pretty plain one, no illumination. But looking at it it looks like if I want to I can easy pop some leds behind there for much cheaper

**This**. The two coils of each woofer are in series, for 4 ohms each. Then both woofers are wired in parallel to the amp, for 2 ohms total load. With 2 ohms as your stated goal, that's how you wire them.

Basically this, where the "mono" amp is your bridged 2-channel amp.: Image
