Haha. Cool to see you putting this through it's paces on/off track. I went to a non-1/4 mile track for the first time last month (Ducati). I had a freaking blast and learned a lot from it. |

First, the dick comment. Thats a pretty fancy lawn mower you have there. I've seen it cut some grass and I have to say, Im impressed. Now that thats done. Nice to see you've had it on the track and that its doing well. Funny fact, I have an old coworker who has a similar looking s2000 and didnt realize until now that he had it. He's had it for years apparently. I'll have to ask him about it the next time I see him (and probably make a similar lawn reduction implement comment). |

Mini S2000 update for the last year and a half... I have now driven the S2000 over 40k miles, which is approaching as many miles as it had when I got it. I have done the Lake Michigan Circle Tour in it, over 10 track days and auto cross days, went through 4 sets of tires, countless brake pads and rotors, and god knows how many quarts of oil. In that time, I've replaced the clutch and the fluids and the motor and diff mounts, but otherwise it is mind boggling how reliable this thing has been. The clutch is really the only failure it has ever had. My life time average MPG is 22.5 with a highest of 32.2 and a lowest of 8... Lol This year, got some RE71Rs for it which barely lasted 5000 miles. A new exhaust which sounds great, and an intake. Gave it a buff, ceramic coated it, and on she goes. Very snow/salt lacking winter in the midwest, so it has been wracking up more miles than the Bonneville. After driving it spiritedly down a dirt road, I am debating the logistics and wear and tear of entering it into a rally cross... lol Really been loving this thing, more than I could have ever imagined when I purchased it. Seeing it grow in value despite all the fun and use I've been getting out of it is nice as well. Removing the spare really helps with fitting longer items for camping |

A lot of people would park these away now considering the increase in price but I really think they're missing the point. You obviously get it. When you take out the spare, do you have a pump and plug kit? My M only came with a pump and fix a flat from the factory. I have a plug kit and pump now. |

Still see a lot of people hiding these away, which is sad but I can see how it's hard to enjoy one of these without the right environment or mindset. Yes, without the spare I have a compressor and plug kit. It makes such a huge difference in space. Allows to bring my folding chairs and tent and still fit a lot of other necessary camping things. |

Been a great year for the S2000. Did 2 track days so far. Got some new Falken RT660s which are amazing. Had my first mechanical mishap, pitted my axle cup which is a common issue on these if they are tracked or lowered with sticky tires. Nasty vibration turning right under power. A simple swap from one side to other solves the issue haha. One of my favorite things was a solo track day where I camped out of the car. Made some steak and asparagus and hung out with some whiskey in the rain. I am getting better and really need to invest in a racing seat and maybe some coil overs, might do Ohlins next year. An off road excursion here or there just means you're trying lol Hanging with the big boys. Hard to believe the Rivian weighs 2+ times the S2000. |

That's my M.O. until I get a case of the big eye for narrowly cheating death, then I back off.People like to bag on Hondas because they're headquartered in Japan, but it's hard to argue with their performance and reliability. I've owned a few of them and the engines are almost bulletproof. My wife's daily driver is a 2018 Civic Si and that thing is a blast to drive and so dependable...perfect for her. And it consistently gets 38-40 mpg. The turbo and 6 speed manual in "sport mode" can generate unwanted interest from the Fuzz in a hurry. Not quite on the level of the GXP, but crazy fun. I can imagine what your S2000 is like! |

Been enjoying and loving this thing more and more! Did a short-ish 800 mile camping trip in it with the squad along the Mississippi River. 2 S2000s, 3 Miatas. We dubbed it the Roadster Invitational. Lol First track day went down as well, got a new personal best around that track. Got every last penny out of my brakes on this round. Ordered a Recaro Pole Position seat as I feel I am starting to be limited by the stock seat. Mileage creeping up around 96K now. Got the wheels painted in Galaxy Silver Metallic as a nod to the Bonneville. I think they look so much better than the black! Been using it for real estate. Naturally, I get a lot of car guy clients so it's fun to bring this thing out for showings and closings. It certainly looks better than the Bonneville at least lol Hope everyone has a good Memorial Day! 255s are rubbing through the liners in high G corners lol |

Yes, I believe certain things are coming back! It would be nice to get some interior pieces and some of the seals for the soft top, but I'm sure pricing is going to be appropriately adjusted given the times. lol I'm lucky to say that beyond tires and brake pads and fluids, this thing has been basically 100% reliable. Other than a freak clutch spring failure, and rubber bushings and mounts failing due to age, it's wild how well engineered and solid this thing feels. Working on any of it, whether interior or exterior, it feels like it is 10 years newer than the Bonneville for example, despite actually being 4 years older. |

They're not the cheapest pad that's for sure, so it is important to squeeze every last cent out of them! This track day was 8 sessions, but after 7 I was basically physically kind of over it so just decided to skip the last one and hang out. When I got home and checked on the pads, I'm sure glad I did. Lol |

Yeah, it's amazing how much material comes off those pads when you're aggressive. Grinding up your rotors or trashing your calipers because you ran down to the metal isn't worth the fun of one more session. Some might say you were lucky, but you can tell 'em it was skill. |

Finally went for it and got a matching red Recaro Pole Position for the S, which is such an upgrade. No more sore fore arms after track duty. Also, ended up ripping my control arm mounts out of the unibody. Inevitable on early S2s with sticky tires and hard braking, just happened a little sooner than I expected. Almost 3,000 track miles on this puppy. Got them welded up and back in business. She's going to drive me from the church to the reception this Saturday with my soon to be wife. Can't wait to decorate it for the wedding! A note for either my future self to chuckle at, or a future owner to be worried about lol |
