Wow, that GP is in great shape for it's age. Very nice.

What method did you use to remove the pinstripes? I have ones that look almost identical on my Bonneville I'd love to get rid of as soon as it warms up here.

I used a hand-held heat gun to warm them a bit, then removed the bulk with plastic razor blades (I didnt know such a thing existed until I ran across them on Amazon!) I followed up with 3M Spray Adhesive remover, which is citrus based so it wont harm the paint. I still had to use some cleaner wax afterward to help even out the finish. In the right light you could still see the stripe, so I assume they had been on there a long time.

That thing really looks great! You see so many of them beat to death. Yours is pristine! Keep it that way!

I will be adding a SLP Gen 1 spoiler and a set of low profile hood scoops to go with the 40th roof rails I grabbed on eBay
(I needed those since the car is missing one side of the gutter molding.) Outside of that, wheels/tires and twin outlet exhaust tips will be the only other visual changes. I will also wind up adding LED tails since one side is de-laminating.

Did the white gauge faces today. The US Speedo kit is good but drastically over-simplifies the install and says nothing about all but destroying the foam light surrounds trying to take them off for re-use. At this price point I think new foam pieces should be included. Anyway, the end result looks very nice

Those do look pretty good. It always irked me that the speedos in these went to 110. Such a weird number IMO.

The ZZP resonator went on today and the result is perfect! I know this piece is a bit pricey but no more expensive than any units from Flowmaster, Magnaflow, and especially Borla. I honestly wonder at this point if I could've left the Cherry Bomb Vortex muffs out back and this would've hushed the sound a bit without side effect. Such is life. The bottom line is the Thrush chambered muffs sounded good on other cars I've owned and it sounds great now. The drone or buzz is completely eliminated. The overall sound is still louder and deeper than stock, full throttle delivers a healthy roar, and driving around or cruising, you can still hear the note but it is not intrusive at all at any speed. Best $119 I've spent on exhaust ever. I regret never trying it before now.

A new clip will come soon but nasty rainy weather and my recuperating condition ruled that out today.

(Down at home a few days after emergency surgery for a ruptured gall bladder. Had a rough go in the hospital but doing much better now. My first surgery ever and I am stunned how much it takes out of you.)

SLP spoiler installed, LED tails, and the decklid decal

I love how the light silver decals becomes more subtle with light changes

Also installed the rear-facing hood scoop in prep for the hood decal

This is a photochop with what the hood decal might look like in reflective white. I also ordered an overlay for the grille arrow

Exterior is coming along nicely, but still need to select the all important wheel/tire combo

Sony Ax-100 digital media player 2-din installed today. Bluetooth phone and music streaming, Apple CarPlay / Android compatible, touch screen with customizable wallpaper...no dash bezel cutting was required since there is no CD/DVD drive or detachable face. 6.2 in touch screen

The GTO style scoop didnt work since it was fiberglass and wouldnt flex to fit the contour of the hood.

I got these Camaro units made by Xenon. I used a set of these on my Chrysler convertible and they worked great. I'm liking the layout look here that lends a kind of GTO/Firebird Formula vibe. Once painted and installed I think they will look great!

I could do without the 2 scoops. That single center scoop looked decent though. The rest looks great! I wish there was a radio option like that for G8s.
