If you look at all the pulleys are they in alignment?

Was the a/c actually blowing cold air? was there any whine or noises prior to eating the belt?

Okay I just got home and looked at it and the harmonic balancer has shifted like it's been loosened but I haven't serviced it ever what could cause this to happen and does that mean it'll need a new balancer?

You might try some duct tape first, though I'd say you need a new balancer. Even the 3400's have a rubber isolator on the balancer, though it's a completely different design, it can still degrade over time and wobble.
