Nice!!! =D> I've never been a "Ford" fan as a whole, but this is a nice car...good job on it!

I have to agree with the Starsky & Hutch paint scheme...I watched that show strictly for the car!

Thanks everyone :beerchug: . The funny thing is that the motor is currently a stock 88 Stang motor internally and only has the external bolt-ons. I think the short 3 inch Flowmaster system with turndowns under the drivers seat makes it sound very agressive. I have gotten tons of compliments on the sound of it at all the car shows I have been going to this summer.

I cant repaint the car cause it is too much of a well known car here and it already has a $5k+ paint job on it that looks beautiful! Sorry S&H guys

01bonnesc: I am currently unable to turn the big 29/12.50/15's with this motor. It may just be tuning which I am still working on. I just enjoy driving it for now.

Now to fix the burnout issue for next year I currently have a new motor that is started and on the stand. I was looking for a short block that was already rebuilt so I could put a cam in it and use the AFR 165 heads on it. I read an article back in 03 about putting the AFR 165 heads with 1.7 ratio roller rockers on a stock mustang motor like mine and the same bolt-ons as I already have and it produced 405HP at 6200rpm!!!
Well guess what? I found a guy on my Mustang forums by the name of Matt King that posted a short block that was ready to go and only had some dyno time on it for $250!! So I pulled some strings and went to pick it up. Low and behold when I get there and tell him about the article he said yeah this is THE motor that was built and used for that article :eek!: I could not believe that I was purchasing such an icon in the SBF community. I cant wait to build this motor and get it in the Torino

Here is a link to the article:

And a pic of the motor from Matt:

Lol! Yeah here is the article when he left for Detroit. He said he was only there for a year before taking a job here in WI at Harley where he now works. Not sure what he does for them as I didn't ask. That dual quad motor is also my motor. It was also used in an article for Hot Rod running a FI setup, Edlebrock RPM heads, and a bigger cam than stock (which was still in the motor and I could have got but want a Thumper instead) that set up put out about 380hp. He still has a set of AFR 165's but I asked and he is still too attached to them to sell them. I will call him one more time to be sure when I get the money before I buy new ones.
