Very odd...first page is wide, 2nd is not. It also screws up the top banner big time in wide mode.

It'd be a better way to discuss quirks we find...than to clog threads with banter lol.

Bring the old broken forums back?
Let's do it! I'm up for some 1on1 chat.

BTW ~ I'm using 1680 x 1050

the first page is stretched because of the screenshot posted. We cannot compare wide and narrow based on "a 19 inch screen" what matters is resolution. It will be different widths depending on resolution. some may get lucky and have it full screen if it is a relatively small resolution.

yup, seems the width is streatched based on whats in the post content.

BUT it is still narrow when there is nothing to force it wider. the size isn't dynamic for some reason.

ALSO, i agree that a buggy forum is better than a dead forum. this isn't a complaint, just a suggestion. :beerchug:

I like forums that resize, but I don't want it filling my whole monitor either (i also have a 22" 1680x1050)

Then again i don't always keep windows fullscreen either...

I agree...it's nice when the forum resizes..but I dont want it taking up the entire monitor.

This is your problem:

<table width="900" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" align="center">
<tr>
<td>

Change that to width="100%" or elimate that table all together. This table centers the forum on the screen and contrains it to 900 pixles wide. For small screens it makes you scroll horizontally.

Aware of that, but it's not as simple as that sadly, the banner doesn't stretch properly.

what if we scratch the GXP on the right all together? I'd rather have a correctly functioning forum then have its looks hold it back.

I'm finding it frustrating just browsing with half the screen like I am.

What, if any, do you guys see with forum width/display as far as issues? I want to hear from you guys running larger and extra high res, as well as those running 800x600 4:3 monitors... Please check both the portal and forum, as well as let me know what browser you are using. I know it sounds like a lot, but it'll help narrow this down to something that will fit for all.
