Hate to sound like complaining... but....

Can we remove, or very much expand the pic limits? If someone is on 56k, they know what they're getting into by going into an image heavy thread, and they'll most likely look at multiple pages anyways.

I'd be willing to venture atleast 90% of the active users are on broadband, if not higher. I'd still leave 56k warnings up, or a quantity of images in the thread title. If it's about mobile phone access, well, anyone on any phone should steer clear of the your ride sections.... I know I do with my BlackBerry.

I'm saying this because there have been threads where content is/has been limited by the pic restrictions. Content is king, and the entire point of a message forum.

Actually, the only forum that has the pic limit is the Your Ride section, and that was put into place because we had many threads that had a ton of pictures of the same thing, but a slightly different angle. Meets are exempt from that restriction.

That said, I also feel that there are times when more then 25 pics would be nice in that forum.

i pretty much agree with this, as long as a 56k warning is in the topic title for appropriate threads.

i used to browse on 56k back in the day when i joined, and trust me, you know when going into a thread with lots of pics that its going to take a while. the 25 pic limit doesnt really help them much, IMO it just hurts us broadbanders.




and another thing i saw on another fourm i was at lately, although im sure it would take lots of work i thought it was kinda cool, was a "lite" version of the forum, for those on slow connections/ mobile phones they could go there and it had dumbed down graphics, etc. dont know how much of a reality that is.
