I'm there with you Mike, my point was that in the case of changing the mount there is no alignment change. The knuckle, strut and lower control arm stay in the same place. |

If it didn't work properly and the car felt it needed a case learn it would toss the code for a case learn. Yes, there is a code for it. |

Why modifiy a harness to wrok on S2 when you can use an S2 harness and build a patch cable type setup? Look at the Riv, has an internal pcm and all wires go inside like the van. Use that, get a spare interior side for the riv and a spare engine side for the van then simply map the wires. This way yo... |

Actually in a technical aspect HPT supported S2 and 4T60's. They overall didn't support the S2 in 96. |

If you remove the hubs which will frequently seperate (front and back pieces), why would you also remove the strut bolts? IIRC Bob, Tom and Ben removed Ben's hubs to pull the axles and didn't need to remove the struts as well. Are the S1 axles too large to fit through the hole where the hub mounts? |

On the mounts, take a good look at it's mounts. The old LN3 mount in the Bvilles was used when the 4T80 was stuffed in. That post should show us that almost all the S1 mount locations would usually be possible on the S2 block. Heck..Curt probably has a few blocks laying around to check any theories ... |

Cool..because you were confusing me as to why the side cover would need to come off to remove an external seal. |

An engine mount won't change the alignment. |

Power steering taking power from the motor will slow the rpm slightly as mentioned. Which in turn slows the alternator which is not able to generate enough power at low rpm for all the items. It is pretty normal. |

Can you please TAKE a picture of the trunk lid area where the latch is located. |

The L67 bottom end is stronger and even stronger than that is the bottom end of the new version the L32. Many people have put turbos and nitrous on the various motors though including the L36. Like with any setup..it depends on how the system is done and how it is used. |

Yes, poly and many thing exist. As to harder mounts for underneath the W bodies.
It appears the item that doesn't exist that Tom is looking for is the shortened mount height. Many of the W body guys use cradle spacers to lower their cradle the 1/4" or so for clearance. |

Tman.. the hardest part will be prep. Make up a mold or jig that includes the 1/4" drop and then figure out how to clear the old mount off. Personally..I thought about a bonfire myself. |

You won't need the T55 unless you change the hubs. Only thing it seems like you might need to buy is the 34mm socket. When buying a 6 point socket is preferred. |

It is your choice. Do you want to pay $70+ for an alignment, $80+ per side for each hub and do about 3-4 hours of extra work while swearing, bleeding and cursing? Nearly $250 and 3-4 hours can be saved. On my cars, parts that are not bad don't get replaced unless it is being upgraded with something ... |

Your boost gauge is dependent on the accuracy of your MAP sensor. Get a mechanical gauge on that thing at least temporarily to see what you really have. Sensors as in plural. The gauge sensor has no effect on the pcm. Test them by looking at the other. If the pcm sensor reads differently than the g... |
