I'm going to bump this thread because its a couple years old and I get asked a lot if I am "still doing the Bonneville thing". Yes, yes I am. Still going strong and no signs of Bonnevilles running out around here! Thanks to all my customers for keeping this business going for 12+ years now...

Welcome. Those are some very optimistic numbers. Are you taking rust into consideration? Where are you located?

Yeah the Dorman o-rings are horrible, but their aluminum elbows are fine. I've been replacing the Dorman o-rings with GM o-rings on every elbow I install as a preventative measure. I've never had a failure since. I'm going to guess that you got a GM part that someone had swapped o-rings with or some...

The 17" Bonneville SLE/SSEi wheels do fit on the GXP. They are a 7.5" width whereas the GXP wheels are 8" wide. I do have wheels available if you're interested. You could run a 225 width tire, maybe even 215.

All the bumping around during the repair usually causes them to fail, you should replace all 7 bulbs while you're in there.

I agree. I think its in pretty decent shape considering. I mean look at the drivers seat, almost no wear! Even the console lid has held up.

107,000 miles later, it's back in my hands for $100. It still runs but is extremely rough and will be parted out.

The solenoids are the issue, but the shift kit fixes it with a much cheaper and easier option. I install the shift kit in 90% of the cars that come through my shop.

These should be just snug, not even tight.

I'd suspect the coil or ICM.

Any aftermarket hardened 4th clutch hub is fine. It would be VERY wise to do while its out of the car.

Any 2000-2002 SSEi is a direct replacement for a 2001 SSEi. To use the 2003 trans you would need to swap the computer and complete engine wiring harness.
