One wheel burnouts.
You might get by with just replacing the diff and cover unless it damaged the case. |

Could be a bad MAF sensor. They can act up like this without throwing a code. You could try disconnecting the MAF temporarily and see if it continues to act up. DO NOT put an aftermarket one on, they are all junk. Only replace with OEM Hitachi

The wheel speed sensors produce a small amount of AC voltage when spun, and that is what the computer sees. You will be able to see the voltage on your meter, but you won't know if its proper data (could be a missing chunk on the ring. The best thing would be to get a scan-tool that can read the ABS... |

I'm not sure how to respond to that. We gave you several suggestions on what to do, you tried your own thing and it didn't work and then you asked "What's next?" Just because the injectors are new, that doesn't mean they are firing. You need to check the injector pulse. A compression test ... |

No sense in asking for more help when you haven't done what we've already suggested.
Compression tester is $20 on Amazon or free at your local parts store rental program.
194 bulb to test injector pulse is less than $1. |

Possibly a broken CV joint. They need to look at it in the air to further diagnose. |

You're misreading me, I'm not being snappy. I'm saying that any decent mechanic SHOP would have a tool that could read this data. |

With a proper scan-tool you can see the signal that the PCM is sending and receiving, then you could verify if that same signal is being received by the alternator. Without doing further diagnostic work, you're just a parts changer. |

You either have a poor connection on the terminal L signal, or your alternator is intermittently failing. When the ignition switch is placed in the RUN position, voltage is supplied to generator terminal L by the PCM, turning on the regulator. The generator's voltage regulator controls current to th... |

Have you verified this with a meter and not just the instrument cluster? The cluster gauge is horribly inaccurate.
Have you had the alternator tested?
Are you seeing the lights dim?
If you are using a meter, what kind of voltage are you seeing? and how much dip? |

Fuel at the rail is good, but injectors might not be firing.
Pull the plugs and see if they are wet with fuel. Maybe do a compression test while you have them out. |

Anything on ebay will be a HOT air intake, all junk. ZZP doesn't make anything for your 98 SSEi, but INTENSE-Racing does. INTENSE Fender Well Intake (FWI) is always the best option https://intense-racing.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Session_ID=af92605cddf763012780254e82a18f13&Screen=PROD&Store... |

1 cat, mounted at the bottom of the downpipe. It has a rectangular flange on the front side with 4 bolts. It's pretty easy to see if you just look under the car. The rear of the cat must be welded in if you're getting it replaced. https://static.summitracing.com/global/images/prod/xlarge/wlk-16386_i... |

Step 1 is determining if this is a fuel or spark issue. Fuel: Do you have fuel pressure at the fuel rail? Remove the black plastic cap from the Schrader valve and depress the valve with something small and be the judge of how much pressure is there. Does it spray out or just trickle? Watch your eyes... |
