I thought you had a 98? Can you please put your YEAR in your profile in the YEAR and TRIM box? ???? SSEi. Both the M62 and M90 come apart the same. The difference is you must remove the M62 from the car (92-95 SSEi) to replace the coupler, the M90 (96-2003) it can be done without removing it from th... |

After playing around with it, I have to say you can't get a better tool for the price. I already owned 5 different torque wrenches and have another dozen or so at work, and this one beats them ALL. If you have to buy one, this one will do it all very well. It'll do everything from the low-torque (20... |

On the 2k, the RF motor mount actually attaches to the passenger side of the cast aluminum oil pan, just inside the RF A-arm behind the splash shield. |

Somehow Mrs. Claus pulled one of these off for Christmas with a little help from some Elf (Gearhead) that lives very close to me (myfirstbonnie) and likes Fried Chicken (drives a rubber chicken). Rumor has it that he got one too. VERY impressive. This thing just replaced 3 of 5 torque wrenches I own... |

You're 2k. All of them got that. He was talking to the OP, and probably didn't realize he has a 2k. 95-99 S2 motors got steel pans just like the previous generations. |

The fuel pressure regulator and plugs/wires are far more likely than injectors.
Injector failures are RARE. |

Sure, until the slots plug up with pad material and can't clear themselves out because they're not relieved to the edge of the rotor. After about the first or second week, the slot is useless (unless relieved to the edge).
Think about how it works. Make sense? |

First off, there are no 'tricks' to replacing it. Unplug it (squeeze the connector to mis-shape it, then pull it off), then use a socket or wrench to remove it. You'll lose some coolant, so have the new sensor nearby. It's in the water jacket. Secondly, why are you replacing it? Third, please don't ... |

Unless you're building a monster, there's no benefit at all. They PERFORM exactly alike (S2/S3). Durability doesn't come into play until you're hammering out some serious power. |

And if they go all the way to the edge, they also aid in shedding water. The problem lies in manufacturing technique. In order for the rotor to be as strong and not prone to cracking with slots all the way to the edge, they have to be hardened after slotting. This is more expensive than not. Yes, no... |

If the slot doesn't go all the way past the outer edge, it doesn't matter. The slot doesn't really do you any good anyway in that case. If the slot goes all the way to the edge, you want it the opposite of the picture above. |

The rockers actually pivot over the top end and rub more area of the rod than the lifter for this reason. In addition, the cup under the rocker is fully supported, where the contact area on the lifter is far smaller. Normal. And I've never seen a pushrod fail to the point that it needed replacement.... |

There's no need to run any additive in your fuel. Modern fuels already have them. My OEM pump lasted over 15 years, and my Walbro is still going strong. My injectors (when they were pulled to be upgraded) still flowed within 1% of each other at the factory spec or slightly above, and I've never run ... |

It will clatter with or without the belt if it's the dampener (harmonic balancer/dampener). But it will shut up for a few seconds if you lightly roll into the throttle. |

Do NOT use any intake system that says 'short' anything or leaves the filter in the engine bay. Colder air is better than hotter. |

1. You will gain nothing from it other than a lighter wallet. The only components that may improve performance are the downpipe and cat on your car. As much as you think it sounds like a V8, to the trained ear (a good many of us) it'll sound like a V6 with an aftermarket exhaust. You cannot make a V... |

We have a GenV setup similar to that on the Forum. And when the PCV system fails, it fails in the OPEN (breathing/venting) position. And it's rare. Most of us replace our PCV's more often because they're so inexpensive. I can't recall any car I've ever owned having a PCV problem in the last 25 years... |
