Nobody said it was impossible. It's not easy, though. And its not a case of go to the shelf and find the fix in a box on the first try.

I predict you will fight the tune and spend far more than the cost of a new nosedrive seal. Neither John nor I are running a perfect tune to this day, and I'm running an AFC and an adjustable FPR. You are going to simply have to come to grips with the fact that it's never going to run perfectly. The...

We did a motor swap on the ZiLLA in 24 hours tear down to crank it up using that same hoist. Top is the only way to go if you don't want the trans out. Hell, even if you do. Bottom is only a consideration if you have a lift. You have most of the top off? Don't forget you'll need to put your hoist br...

The ported supercharger gained you mostly midrange, and that's primarily due to the inlet being matched and smoothed. Some high end on extended runs as the outlet won't run as hot after porting and smoothing. It flows more, but only when you're really getting on it. You SHOULD notice a little boost ...

You can throw a QDM fault if your foot is on the brake with some scantools. If you have a crack, pull both manifolds (they're not headers) and the crossover. Remove all three heat shields. You have more, and they will cause KR. EXHAUST MANIFOLDS: All Series 1 exhaust manifolds (especially the L67 Su...

No, the NOSEDRIVE seal can be replaced on the car without removing the supercharger.

Those yellow accel coils are WEAKER than stock. They are also very prone to issues, and you can't afford 'issues' with misfires if you're running too small of a pulley on that supercharger and have no scanner. Get the Series 2 OEM coils (from a supercharged engine) or MSD ONLY. I strongly suggest yo...

You know you can replace that seal without even removing the blower from the engine, right?

It's not graphite, it's a steel mesh coated in lead, but yes, that's the gasket. You cut a teardrop shaped gasket using the center hole. You'll find two holes near each other to cut around. One for the stovepipe, one for the bolt. Until you can scan for KR, you're at risk. My connector is in the sam...

JC Whitney sells more budget-minded carpet kits. I'll move your topic to the proper section since this isn't a mechanical problem.

The only way to let you know was to text you, and you were driving the drunk! Besides, we were 6 blocks from home, and it was easier to call ahead to have a car moved so the hose would reach. This happened on New Year's Eve also. I've disconnected the gauge. I think the schrader valve on the T-fitti...

You have a very dangerous combination, and you are VERY likely to have coolant leaks between your Gen2 throttle body and the Gen3 supercharger. Do NOT run the Gen2 pulley on that Gen3 until you have some way of scanning for KR. Going further this direction will be far more costly than keeping it Gen...

Adding 1 gallon of Toluene to 10 gallons of 89 will net 91.91 octane. Adding 2 gallons of Toluene to 10 gallons of 89 will net 94.33 octane. Adding 3 gallons of Toluene to 10 gallons of 89 will net 96.38 octane. Do not exceed this ratio. I suggest 1 gallon of Toluene, then fill the rest of the tank ...

Your heater core and hoses also hold some. You really can't drain it to empty. The best method is a running flush. See techinfo for more help.

STAN! Cody almost died a fiery death! I kid you not! We spent the day working on the zip line, new anchors are far stronger than mother earth. *dang*, I weld good. Now we're ripping a 600lb concrete anchor out of the ground. Cody drove us home. I had too many beers. ON the way, we stopped by to pick...

All Bonneville exhaust is stainless steel with mandrel bends. If you have otherwise, it's aftermarket.

All SE's got 2.25". All L67's got 2.5" to a POINT.....SSEi all the way back to the muffler, some Supercharged SE (SLE) got 2.5 through the cat, then drops to 2.25".

88, that isn't going to work on any car 92 or newer. That's not a fix, either.

Chances are near 100% that it's the driver or passenger side ground bus, or the battery cables themselves. Go after all 3.

oh and that sucking noise is normal. its just your car getting more unrestricted air. its nothing bad. just a good indicator that you did it right. it will go away when the car warms up Not true. The noise is because you removed the sound baffles from the airbox. It has nothing to do with the volum...

Mini-meet continues...... (as Cody already stated, this'll be the longest west coast mini-meet ever) Cody is heading down here tomorrow. We have the final work to do on the Zip Line. Reinforcing the cable anchors and weather-proofing the hardware. It's probably our last good weekend for weather this...
