Re: Survey - fix hard shifting tranny when hot using shift k

If it were me, I would drop the pan, get a new filter and new fluid in it ASAP. If you can get a transgo kit in short order, do that too. But I wouldn't rebuild the transmission until it stops moving.

Re: Survey - fix hard shifting tranny when hot using shift k

Are you guys only installing part of the kit?

Yes. The kit addresses several issues. The accumulator springs are meant to address the P1811 and firm up the shifts. The sider cover spring is meant to address an issue which I did not feel was a problem I had. I just threw away that packaging, so I ...

Re: 02 SSEi before part out

Yeah, he even PM'd me about it; problem is I've got 2 accent colors in my car now. The Dark brown from the camel combo runs across the dash, and at the top of the doors. The medium neutral accent color is on the center console, the dash bezel, the steering column and the steering wheel. It's not ...

Re: 02 SSEi before part out

Is that interior Camel or Medium Neutral? I don't think I've ever seen a 2002+ in the Brown/camel combo. I may have interest in some of the interior components if the price is right.

Need Assistance with Viper 5701 Remote Start Install

Well, here I am again, asking for your help.

I had hoped to do this project on my own and have a nice write up for the club on how they can perform the addition of remote start to their cars, but I am stuck in the preparation phase, and I wanted some club input before I start.

I have 6 wires I ...

Re: Nailed at the grocery store

In these bad economic times (and sometimes just by local ordinance) many municipalities will not come to private property to take a report unless there is a hit and run.

I drive through there on the way to one of my favorite Bonneville Salvage yards in Portland.

Re: SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEECH!

I have had ceramics for years and love them. Longer rotor life and no brake dust are major benefits.

Mine squeal when it is super cold out, but once they warm up its fine.

I would say you have something else wrong, not the brakes.

Re: Front hubs -when did they change?

Half of the 2000 model year has a metal clip on the WSS plug. The other half does not. That is the difference you are finding. Check your clip to verify and purchase accordingly.

The fans don't have to run to be a parasitic draw. My work van's relay was stuck closed and would kill the battery overnight and there was no outward signs.

Re: 10 years old!

Well, my VIN must give that thing fits:

Vehicle: BONNEVILLE SSEI 4 DR
Year: 2000
Build Date: 2000-04-07

So unless someone wrecked my car, took out the supercharger, redid the badging, took out the HUD and the inflator system, I would say that the thing is wrong.

Re: 10 years old!

Yep. Camel interior. I've replaced a chunk of it with Medium Neutral to get the 03+ cupholders though. I also added heated seats elements from a 00 ssei. It is odd that both of us should be lacking the sunroof. I seriously think that if we compared VIN and RPO codes we would find they are identical.
