Vacuum question..
Are there supposed to be two vacuum lines coming off of the BCS or just one to the bypass valve. I was looking today and noticed a nipple that looked like an evap line connector coming off of the BCS with nothing hooked up to it. There is a vacuum line from the BCS to the bypass valve though. Just a ...

Re: Nothing better than the feel of a freshly clayed body pa
I agree with that, when I work on cleaning up my vehicles it is totally relaxing for me as well. The music and the time to myself and my thoughts really makes me feel a lot better.

Lookin' good! Now if I only had the money, talent, and time to do that to my own bonne! My black paint shows tons of swirls and scuffs! :(

Black is a real PITA to keep clean, but when it is clean, the color depth, clarity, and reflectiveness are just crazy!

Re: Just ordered some HIDs!
So is it just mind trickery that when I ride in friends vehicles that have HID plug'n'play kits installed their light output seems like 1,000,000 times better than mine with silverstars?

Re: Just ordered some HIDs!
Why's that? Is it just because you get blinded too often or do you just think that without a retrofit of some sort the light output is just not worth it?

Ok so it sounds like 5000k might be the better, less dangerous choice for other drivers...

Just ordered some HIDs!
Just bought some 5000k 9006 HIDs for the Bonneville! I've wanted HID headlights for a long time now so I'm super excited to see them coming. Hopefully the install goes easy enough. I hear they are really easy but then again I've never tried it before so I will probably get lost somewhere...

Re: Transmission filter change yes or no?
I've had the car for about 4 or 5 months now. It's at 196,200 miles.. I don't believe there is any problems with the transmission, it doesn't slam, bang, slip, grind, or anything bad that I know of. Unless it's unusual that 3rd gear happens around 30mph and the car drops to about 1100-1200 rpms. I ...

Every now and then I have the same issue and every now and then (usually after I drive down a bumpy road) the service engine soon light comes on. Once it said Left Front WSS input = 0.. Most recently:
LR WSS input = 0
RR WSS input = 0
And something about some kind of dynamic proportioning system or ...

The computer at autozone says service change is 7 quarts of fluid. Does this sound right? I've been told 4 is sufficient..

You should definitely shell out the extra money for the aluminum gaskets. It is an updated design and less likely to fail. Also, replace any dexcool with universal green coolant for prolonged life. Unless you plan on taking them off together, if you're doing this to a SSEi, get the ...

Re: Where'd my coolant go?! Empty overflow reservoir!
Personally I'd recommend changing the oil. If you're really concerned with it, it's better to be safe than sorry. If you have the extra money/time that is.
edit: especially if you're a freak about your car like me and one noise or vibration you feel should not be there makes it so you cant sleep ...

Re: Got some new tires for the Bonne!!!
I've had good luck with Hankook Ventus series... My dad has the v12s on his camaro and I had the v4 (i think) on the gtp I used to have. They have been a good, quiet, and smooth ride for us. I currently have Michelin Primacy xv4s on my bonne. These tires have definitely shown they're worth the 180 ...

Transmission filter change yes or no?
My bonne has a little over 196k and I'm not sure that it's ever been done. It still shifts pretty smoothly, and I'm not having any problems with it, the fluid is just brown-ish colored. I've been told if it wasn't done regularly then to not even bother because it will mess the transmission up. I ...
