I just had the upper manifold gasket replaced and the mechanic replaced the coolant with Dex-Cool. Isn't Dex-Cool recalled?

Re: Highest mileage L36?
I replaced my y2k SSEi's transmission at 96k mile. My 96 SSE has 198k miles and is almost ready to give up the ghost. When it goes I'm gonna leave it on the side of the road and take the tags.

Where's the best place to find parts for my SSEi?

Brake light, Anti-Lock Brake light, Traction light on
Yesterday, the anti-lock brake light, traction light and brake light all turned on while driving. I tried to reset the traction light but no response. The message "Stabilization Indicator" displayed for a couple of minutes and then disappeared.

Re: Door/Window molding needs replacing
I just ordered the molding for all four doors. But $385 is ridiculous. GM should've recalled these door moldings.

Re: Tail Light Bar customized
I'm considering buying a sheet of glossy vinyl that matches the car's color to cover the tail light on most of the trunk.
The possibilities are endless. I'm considering getting radical with the angle where it meets the lights at either end. Who's good with photoshop?

Door/Window molding needs replacing
Has anyone replaced the door molding at the window on a 2000 SSEi?
Mine is in terrible shape and I just need the cost. I hope GM has re-engineered the surface. Is there an after market molding available?

I'd love to pull the cupholder out of the SSEi's console because it's shape limits what it will hold.

4th Intermediate Steering Shaft replaced
Just started going thru the repair receipts of my latest purchase, a Y2K SSEi. The previous owner has just installed the FOURTH intermediate steering shaft. There must be another issue creating the failure of the steering shaft and the dealer overlooked it.

Fuel Additives - Marvel Mystery Oil
Does anyone have experience with using fuel additives in the L67 engines (SSEi)?
I've always used Marvel Mystery Oil, however, I'm concerned about it's effects on the SC.

While reviewing the repair history, it shows that the intermediate steering shaft has been replaced 4 times. This indicates another problem but I can't put my finger on it.

Re: To Buy Or Not To Buy - 2000 Bonneville SSEi
I've got the next two weeks to have the car inspected. First stop is to drain orange Dex-Cool in the cooling system, then drain the transmission. I'm tempted to completely replace the rain deflectors on each window just as a precaution.
