If you're unable to follow the FSM diagnostic steps, you'll have to find/pay someone to do it for you.

If fuel is on the plugs its probably flooded out. You can try "clear flood mode" by pushing the gas pedal all the way to the floor (stops injectors from firing) and crank on it for 10-15 seconds. Then try to start as normal, possibly feathering the gas if it needs it. The other option woul...

If you are 100% its a genuine OEM and not a knock-off, attached is the FSM diagnosis. Do you have a proper scantool to view live data? Use some carb/brake clean to spray around the engine to find a vacuum leak. Diagnostic Aids A low minimum air rate can cause DTC P0102 to be set during deceleration....

Does it seem electronic, like you're shutting off the ignition? Or like its stalling out?

Any codes? First thing that comes to mind is a torque converter staying in lockup

Did you clear the codes after replacing the MAF? Did you use an OEM MAF or chinese aftermarket?

Have you ever driven 3.29s? I have, didn't care for it. 2.93s is more desirable for street driving...3.29's will give you traction issues. You'll also have to tune the ECU if you do change it. Yes you'll need to change the sprockets. The GTP trans will not work in the SSEi, electronically different,...

I'm not sure of your skill level in reading schematics, but I attached all of this information to further help you understand the system. The fuel pump motor has its own ground, G401 in the right side of the trunk. The purple wire that you were repairing is the 5V sensor signal coming from the PCM. ...

If the modified wiring at the fuel pump is reversed, the gauge will read backwards.

The fuel pump wiring harness (about 24") runs down the back of the tank to a connection in the RR wheel well area. From there it is part of the main body harness that goes into the trunk through a large grommet.

If you have the engine hoist and support beam, you should be good.

I don't know how big of a factor rust is in England. The subframe to body bolts will be the biggest challenge. If those come free easily without snapping or spinning the encased nuts, you're in good shape.

The rear mount is not nearly as easy as the front mount. The factory service manual states to remove the subframe, but you can do it by dropping the rear of the subframe enough to clear the mount bolts. Unless necessary, I'd recommend having this one done on a lift. An experienced mechanic could rep...

Does the fuel gauge in the instrument cluster do the proper sweep upon startup?

If you put in an aftermarket fuel pump, the connections probably needed to be modified. I would check that wiring.

I agree that the sunload sensor is the most likely suspect. It has caused various problems, from flashing headlights, to not coming on at all. I believe it is rather inexpensive, and is easy to replace, so just swapping out would be a good place to start. Where is the sensor? On the center of the d...

Upstream is on the top of the rear exhaust manifold, downstream is mounted directly behind the catalytic converter.

You verified fuel pressure at the rail and 12v at the injectors, but that doesn't mean they are getting injector pulse. They are a ground side switch. You can use a small #94 bulb with the terminals bent straight and stuck into an injector connector. The bulb should flash while cranking. When you pu...

Super common problem, and most people have a hard time understanding...but its just a little low on freon. Add a 12oz can and you'll be very happy.
