Picked up a new to me Charger. Was looking at cars for quite a while when this popped up locally, I had to have it.
15,000 miles. Previous owner of the car owns a detailing shop locally and did the wrap on it himself. Underneath is Granite Crystal Metalic, very nice color.
Eventually I will have it ...

Re: Motor trashed
I recently had to replace the engine in my $2700 2000 SSEi. It only lasted a month after purchase, and as Andrew said, would of become a $500.00 car is sold complete. For $600.00 + my time and the purchase of a few tools, I did the engine job myself in my Driveway/garage. It's a little tricky, but ...

Re: 2000 SSEi Engine R&R
Thursday the engine went into the car and was bolted up
Saturday I hooked everything up top and bottom, we had it running, but I didn't drive it.
Sunday I drove the car, it had some idle issue, and threw a PO131 SES. Did some research and found my EGR stove pipe may be the culprit as it is kinked in ...

2000 SSEi Engine R&R
Well, unfortunately, a few weeks ago on a road trip to see a friend, I lost all oil pressure and quickly developed a bottom end knock. Luckily for me, I was only a few blocks from his house (105 miles from home), and was able to get to his place, were I rented a flat deck trailer. The following day ...

Re: Been a while since I could do this..
I simply could not resist cleaning the car up and giving it a nice wax coat last night after all the rain we recently got. Must say I am impressed with the way it looks. Turning into a bit of a picture whore again, just like the old days ;)

Re: Possible fuel issue?
I now have an operational fuel gauge. Used the Chevy Tahoe kit and changed it last night. Not to bad of a job to do, had it all done, in 1.5 hours (ate some supper in between). Also changed my FPR, as that was prime suspect for the hard starting.
Last night it was still a little hard to start, even ...

Re: Possible fuel issue?
I have the GM kit for the Tahoe now, will do that tonight.
I will also do the MAF test.
Fuel PSI jumps to 55-58 with the FPR vac line un hooked.
New filter now too.

Re: Possible fuel issue?
Going to change the fuel filter today. I had a new one already in my garage.
Then I will re-test my fuel Pressure.
I have a TRE-340 fuel pump also, brand new in my garage was intended for my 1997, never ended up doing it.
Calling around trying to find a level sender (Dorman 911-022) or the GMC Tahoe ...

Possible fuel issue?
After I purchased the car on Saturday, I drove it 200 miles home. I stopped before I got home at a store (the beer type), when I went to leave, the car cranked and cranked and cranked. Would not start unless I pressed on the throttle, say 20-30% open. It caught, I revved the engine a few times, all ...

That's very cool, the previous owner of mine said they never used it. It was pretty clean too, I wouldn't imagine there is many hours on it either.
All I need to do is repair a burnt radio display bulb now and its all good to go.
