Can't get parking brake cable back on rear calipers.

I was able to pull the parking brake cable off the rear calipers when I was cleaning and inspecting the rear calipers, but the parking brake cables have springs to the end of the cable and I cannot get the cable back on the caliper. I was looking for the equalizer to loosen the cables but it appears ...

Re: a/c probems

I found there is a control module next to the driver blend door actuator. I removed it and was able to replace the failed actuator.

Re: LIM Gasket leaking. Outside the engine luckily

I'm in the middle of a LIM gasket replacement. Be prepared to replace vacuum lines as well. Both the hard line and some connectors snapped when trying to disconnect them. Also, get a EGR gasket. If you buy the FEL-PRO Intake Manifold Gasket Set it comes complete with gaskets, O-rings, and RTV. You ...

VACUUM MANIFOLD ON SUPERCHARGER

The vacuum manifold (I'm guessing that is what it's called) on top of the supercharger cracked when attempting to remove the brake booster vacuum hose. I cannot find this part online nor is there a part number on it to look up. Is this a dealer item? I didn't find it on GM parts direct, RockAuto, or ...

Re: 2000 SSEi Misfire Under Moderate Throttle and Boost

I just checked the wires after making this post, they look original. I will change them and see what happens. I was surprised when I saw "Packard" stamped on the wires with other factory labeling.

Re: 2000 SSEi Misfire Under Moderate Throttle and Boost

This does not happen when parked and revving the engine. It only happens when driving.

2000 SSEi Misfire Under Moderate Throttle and Boost

When I put a decent throttle and generate boost the engine misfires. I can lay off the throttle slightly and the misfire will subside and I do not throw any OBD2 codes. Today I removed the S/C belt as a test and under full throttle, to red line, there was no misfire. I recently replaced the plugs ...

Re: New Windshield Brands

Pilkington Glass is a British glass company that is now global. I might be biased because my last name is Pilkington, but I have Pilkington glass in my Chevy Trailblazer and I have had a few windshields replaced over the years that were also Pilkington. No complaints. It's also nice to say, yeah it ...

Re: a/c probems

I ran into a similar problem today. This morning while driving to work I had no temp control (only HOT) on driver's side while passengers had normal temp control. Crawling under the dash, while simultaneously moving temp controls (driver and passenger side) I could see that the driver's air-mix ...
