Re: Adjusting rear camber for struts questions
Camber: The two bolts at the bottom of the strut allow for camber adjustment. If you do not want to spend the $ at an alignment shop, you will have to loosen them and change the tilt of the wheel yourself until it looks close. Using a standard carpenter's level is better than nothing....
So I ...

Adjusting rear camber for struts questions
I just replaced my rear struts and my wheels are angled in some so I didnt align them right in the camber im guessing. How do I tell if its aligned right with the tire off is my question. This is the best picture I could get but it really doesnt due justice but it gives you an idea.

Re: Questions on replacing rear air struts
The line has a fitting on the end that slides into the strut. I just replaced mine and they looked just like yours. I had to use some force to wiggle the line loose. When I got it out obviously clean it up a bit before installing on the new. Also while your under there check your rubber hoses ...

Re: Questions on replacing rear air struts
Okay I took my wheel of to inspect the struts and from what I can see it is broke in half? Correct me if I am wrong. Both sides looks like this. Also is their just one nut on the top of the strut to remove? Is it best to do one side at a time and where do I jack it up at?

Re: Questions on replacing rear air struts
Okay thanks for the info guys, so you are saying to go with the Monroe Gas Matic ones for $60? I guess im gonna just keep the air leveling as it seems more work than worth to replace it all. I didnt wanna spend a ton on the struts either and $60 isnt bad if you have experienced them.

Questions on replacing rear air struts
My 93 Bonneville bounces all around in the back when I hit a bump. I am going to be replacing both struts. Is their a write up on what needs to be done? How hard is it? I was looking at these three struts. Which would be best? Also do I have to use the Air Compressor struts or could I just get ...

Re: 93 Bonneville AC help
Need to use a voltmeter to see if you have +12v at the green wire on the high pressure switch when the system is set to A/C. If not, it's something upstream (fuse, wire connector, climate control unit, hvac programmer). If you have +12v at the blue wire on the low pressure switch (next to the ...

Re: 93 Bonneville AC help
You have a circuit.. There is the low pressure switch and the high pressure switch, you need to make sure both are good or the system will never cycle..
Did you jumper the low side pins in the connector to see if the compressor would cycle?
I ran a jumper in the low pressure switch harness and ...

93 Bonneville AC help
Since I bought my 93 almost 2 years ago it never blew cold so I figured it just needed a recharge. I charged it today since its 95 degrees out and to 40 PSI from the gauge and the AC Compressor never engaged. So I drove it and came back and put the gauge on and it was down to 30 PSI. Guess there is ...

Re: 93 Bonneville SSE Blower/Heat Problems.
It is lukewarm for the first hour, then stupid hot the rest of the time. But I know what that is. I've never noticed if it's blowing out of the front vents because I never use the front vents for heat, only ever use the floor and defrost vents.

Re: Blower vent control problem
Not sure why only 60 blows out your vents, seems like my old '93 SSEi would blow out the vents up to about 75, but even still that wasn't really hot air out the vents.

Gotcha, you live in Michigan as well how does your electic Climate control work for the heat?MattStrike wrote:Depends if that third barb is/needs to be capped.

Re: Blower vent control problem
No idea why, but the electric climate control on those cars just didn't allow heat to blow out the dash vents. Complete stupid design, but yea, heat only out of the floor or defroster...

Re: 93 Bonneville SSE Blower/Heat Problems.
The black canister has two vac lines - one goes to the gas tank (that looks like the one that's hanging off) and the other goes to the EVAP (purge) valve. I think that third hose barb has a plug in it, or it's a different canister. I'll have a look-see at mine tonight to see if I have that same ...

Blower vent control problem
Ok so I have a new problem. I Just started the car and set it to 60 degrees and it adjust to only blow out the front vents which it did properly. I up the temp 1 click to 65 and it switches to feet? Why Is that? I think that's my problem with it not blowing out of the front vents is because of the ...

That loose hose to the left is junk it's about 12 inches and doesn't go to Anything. I just don't know what connects to that nipple?Krenzy wrote:Just a guess but maybe that hose plugs into the elbow fitting atop the black canister there?
