Re: 89 Lesabre T-type resto / L67 swap

I got a little more done this evening on the T. I finished wiring in the new weatherpack connectors so that I can run the grand national fuel pump hot wire kit. I also got the pump all assembled and put in the tank and the tank is ready to install tomorrow. I hope to have the tank and lower control ...

Re: 89 Lesabre T-type resto / L67 swap

So I am finally getting back to my T and this site! It has been some time since I have done any work to it. Life kinda got hectic and it had to be put on hold. Currnetly balancing time and $$ between the T, fixing my bike from the wreck, and my daily Lincoln LS.

Anyway this is this weekends ...

Although I have seen these pics when we were discussing my drop, I am still amazed at the level of work in this car. You sir are a skilled individual. Keep up the good work.

Re: GXP question

If it was cheaper I would just buy the tails, spoiler bumpers, side trim, etc etc and make a 3800 GXP...not that i don't like the non GXP bodies, I just prefer the GXP body, and the sound is nice too.

Re: GXP question

I hear you. And I have seen the complaints here about how they can be a PITA and the N* isn't the best of motors reliability wise. Again I love the cosmetics of the GXP that's really what it comes to. I know I need something with better gas milage and easier to work on but I've always loved the GXPS ...

Re: GXP question

Ya I work on my own stuff, but the crammed in v8 looks like a pain to work on. To bad they didn't offer a gxp with a 3800. I would take a SSEi or SLE but can't find any around here in decent shape or miles

GXP question

Well the LS has decided it doesn't like its transmission, and wants a new one. I have been thinking about a new car anyway sometime this summer/ fall but it got pushed up. I am looking for another LS (much lower miles and gen 2) a 05-06 STS, and GXP bonnevilles, or maybe a SSEi but I really love the ...

Fuel pump question

So I have to splice the wires to the fuel pump to the stock connector on my T-type because I am using a different pump. Any suggestions when splicing wires in side the tank. I was thinking solder then heat shrink twice?

Here is what I am talking about:

The car isn't my cup of tea but to each his own. But looks like it will be a clean eco car that will be easy on the wallet.

Re: 89 Lesabre T-type resto / L67 swap has begun

Thanks, It is a very clean rust wise, but it was very dirt so it took a while. I basically undercoated where there was existing undercoat and along the rails to be uniform. The rest is just cleaned. Once it is fully done and I can get it on a lift I snap a shot of the entire underside.

I know it has been a long time since I have posted any updates, but between work and this car I have had my hands full. For those of you who are interested here is a photo update of the things I have done in the past months. Getting close to getting a rolling chassis back which means almost time for ...

Stainless Steel Braided Fuel Lines

I know I talked to this person via PM on a forum or something but I can not find it to save my life. Anyway I plan on running SS braided fuel lines from where they connect at the fire wall all the way to the rail. I still have the parts number list thank god,but I would like to locate A. the ...
