I have done this already... the bose is run off of the same head unit as the non bose.... the only difference is that the bose systems have an amplifier in the rear deck under the 6x9's

gotta love the internet... i finally found what i was looking for, but it would have been simpler to just measure the resistance of my speakers..... oh well, i had some good reading material and learned something.

so noone has had an issue running aftermarket speakers off of the bose amplifier?? i have read several places that with a bose system, you have to rewire every speaker from the HU in order for it to run correctly...... has anyone elsehere heard about this? or experienced any issues with changing ...

98 bose speaker question
i was looking at putting different speakers into my bonneville. I was told that the bose speakers run at 8 ohm, and that i would have to rewire all of my speakers to do so. wondering if this is true, and how hard it would be to rewire them if i have to.

I bought that a few months ago, before i saw this site. The filter/heatshield are both jokes. The filter is only big enough to support the flow of a geo metro, and the heatshield is 1/2 in. away surrrounding the filter, so any heat it absorbs is just transferred back to the air as it gets sucked ...

The plastic pieces are removed by taking a small screwdriver and pushing the center in. once you do that the piece will slide right out. to reinstall, you have to push the center back outward put the piece into the hole in the trunk, and push the center tab flush again. i broke 2 of mine before i ...
