Re: Climate Controls stopped working
It ended up being the HVAC controller; bought another one off of Ebay and it works perfect! Thanks for the replies.

Re: Climate Controls stopped working
Finally able to get into the dash...all wiring looks good and it was pain but I was able to reseat the pink connectors as well. Prior to that, on a cold morning..about 43 F (car had sat outside) the controls were working fine and I drove it to work..about 25 miles...with no issues. Got in the car ...

Re: Climate Controls stopped working
I will check out the wiring again this weekend. I have an aftermarket Pioneer navigation unit that I put in way back in 2010. Following your advice, I removed the stereo and cleaned and reseated all the connections, as well as the HVAC controller itself. Unfortunately I'm still in the same boat ...

Re: Climate Controls stopped working
Took it to a shop Monday afternoon after work, and Tuesday morning they called me and said there were no faults. HVAC was operating normally and the display was normal. There were 2 codes stored, B1000 and BO159, which he said was Loss of Communication between the IPM module and the HVAC module. No ...

Re: Climate Controls stopped working
Yes, that is the one I replaced. I did check that C102 connector and did clean the terminals just in case. Car isn't driven in any inclement weather since 2010 and stored inside so my engine bay has remained pretty clean. Yes, the engine temp gauge appears to be normal. Drove it around the highways ...

UPDATE: O'Reilly's near me happened to have the ambient external temp sensor on hand so I tried the new one and I still have the same problem.

Climate Controls stopped working
Hi all,
Today went to take the GXP out and noticed the Climate Control had 3 dashed lines on the display and all of the buttons and functions are unresponsive. There is air blowing out of the defrost and floor vents (cold air thankfully). It was working perfect yesterday. I checked the HVAC fuses ...

Replacing ignition key light bulb
I've had my interior lights swapped over to LEDs for quite some time now, but always kept forgetting to do the ignition cylinder. Today I had to replace the driver's side heated seat switch because the backlight was out, so I had the dash off. I see the bulb for the ignition, but it doesn't really ...

Re: Replacing button lights
Thanks for the info: Digging into search I found this:
http://www.pontiacbonnevilleclub.com/fo ... 35611.html
It is for the shifter light but also the OP asked about the same light. Probably I'll just order a new switch.

Replacing button lights
Good evening everyone,
The driver's heated seat light went out on the dash...button still works it's just the light. Is this something I can fix or do I need to buy a whole new cluster for that part?

Rocker Panel clips
Looks like the retainer/clip is gone from my right rear rocker panel. Not sure if it happened with the previous owner too but it looks like there was a also 3M doublesided tape keeping it close to the body as well. Does anyone know what part number of this clip would be? I can get a picture later if ...

Re: Headlights
No HIDs. You can run tinted halogens.
I might be doing a run of retros this summer for 2000+ owners. Nothing is for sure yet. I will see how much time I have between working and social life.
I'd be interested in a set for my GXP if you are still gonna do it. I have no free time from moving and ...

Re: No air out of dash vents
Thanks Archon,
After some more searching I did find a GXP thread; looks like you chimed in there too...Do you still have that diagram of the location of the actuator? I would then check to see if its moving or not. This problem is exactly like that original author of that thread, but I have not ...

No air out of dash vents
I've seen other threads with this same issue, but not on the GXP. Mine was garaged all winter. Noticed I have no air coming out of the dash vents when I finally took it out today. It only comes out through the floor vents, no matter what setting it is on. The auto climate and fan speeds all work ...

Re: 2005 Bonneville GXP( mpg, filters etc?)
I also have done the full synthetic swap but with Valvoline. I didn't drive it enough before winter hit (parked for winter) so I didn't notice a change yet. I have the K&N air filter, but am swapping that out with a Volant CAI. Stay away from fuel additives IMO. Have a good Christmas!

Re: Aiming foglights
Thanks guys for the tips! It's a round basically knob that you turn. Forgot to take a pic but yeah, it wasn't that bad once the headlight was out.
