Re: Interior Door panel plastic channel along window [SOLVED
My order came in quick and installed easy. My trim was in pretty bad shape, and the previous owner already broke a couple of the clips so I was able to get mine installed without taking the panel off. Seems solid so far, I'll break out the heat gun to loosen up the adhesive if I notice it not ...

I hope the insurance company has already taken care of any incidentals like a loaner car and paid for any time you've missed from work.

Re: Sheesh.. Totaled '02
Dealing with the insurance company has been an utterly miserable experience. We settled on $4300 for my totaled Bonneville. Not enough, in my opinion, but fair enough. I paid $3000 for the car, but put about $1000 worth of parts and stereo equipment.

I am glad to hear you are doing as well as you are, and that you were surrounded by as much car as you were.

Sheesh.. Totaled '02
Well, my beloved 2002 Bonneville is trashed. Rear ended in stop and go traffic by some woman doing 65.. No tire marks behind her, so she just ran straight into me.. Pushed me 30 feet into the truck in front of me. She was unconscious. I was sent to the hospital. She booked it and has ignored the ...

Sorry I took so long to get back to you guys, I've been busy with work and stuff. Haven't had a chance to do the tune up or add the dielectric grease yet..
Anyways, I checked for AC voltage between alternator output and case/engine ground = .541 AC volts at idle with high beams on

front door deadening
Has anyone done any deadening on the front door panels when adding capable speakers? I've got a set of components installed and my door card rattles/resonates like crazy crazy in the upper bass/midbass range. I've stuck weatherstripping around everywhere and got it down considerably, but since the ...

Re: Blowing ICM's
Thanks for the input. I have a DMM at work so I'll check for AC voltage on Monday and report back. I don't think I have a compression problem because when the ICM is functioning the car runs like a champ.

Re: GMOS-05 / Aftermarket head unit issues..
I ended up getting a refund on the GMOS-05 rather than trying a new one out. I purchased the $7 GM07B cheapo harness on amazon and mostly followed the instructions from the other thread for wiring it up in the Bonneville, using IGN3 fuse for switched power.

Re: How to install aftermarket stereo using GM07B harness
After looking again I see that the red wire on the scosche harness is in the place of the antenna turn on wire, so that is why you want to run the switched 12v to it. I bought this harness and will install it this weekend. Thanks again for making this, it should
make this job so much easier.

Re: How to install aftermarket stereo using GM07B harness
Thanks for the write up. I'm thinking about purchasing this harness, but I have a question.. What is the point in hooking up the 12v accessory run to both the radio and the harness? Why exactly do you want to send 12v back to the dock & lock? Just asking out of pure curiosity.

Re: 420 code
It's most likely a bad catalytic converter. When I had that code I bought this converter from amazon and had it welded on at a local exhaust shop. The shop did the install for free since I let them keep the old core. The old converter is worth around $100 at my local metal scrappers.

Re: struts and mounts
Yes, the Bonneville spring insulators will fit the mount. If they didn't, the springs wouldn't line up properly with the mount, and you wouldn't be able to use it.
