Re: Dimming Mirror Fuse

Alright guys, for future reference the Dimming Mirror is on the Chime circuit (fuse 1D). I couldn't find it because the fuse didn't look burnt. If was just a little broken.

I've checked that fuse and it's good. I've hooked up a test light to the leads of the mirror and n ot light when I turn the ignition on.

BOSE System - Speaker replacement

I have a 98 SSE with the BOSE system. I changed out the rear deck speakers (woofers and tweeters) with an Alpine Component 6 1/2" system. I'm planning on swapping out the front door speakers as well with an Alpine component 5 ½” system too. Although the sound quality is okay, I know it could be ...

Re: Ditching The HIDs

I bought a set of these. Modified the bracket a little and they fit great in the opening.

They look and work great.

Remove the Series II cover and you'll know right away. Black molded plenum means NA. My bet is on a NA engine.

You know that the engine in that car is a NA and not a supercharged engine right? At least from that picture angle.

How would you go about testing the Solar Intensity Sensor or is there even a test for it.

ECC Controls - AC out the vents (Floor/Defrost)

I was wondering, if I adjust my AC mode to come out of the front facing vents it is cold. If I adjust my AC mode to come out of the floor or defrost vents it is warm.

Question 1 is: is this normal (I wouldn't think so but I can't remember)

Question 2 is: if not, what is the possible problem. Is it ...

High Speed Fan Override

A long time ago there was a link to the High Speed fan override and the use of a monetary switch and a set of relays. The relays were wired in such a way as to allow the monentary switch to be hit to turn on and off the fans. This also allowed the fans to turn off and not come back on once the car ...

Don't forget the Buick Lesabre and Olds 88. They share the same blower control module. You'll want to make sure of the year.

I went a head and ordered a sheet of yellow lamin-x. I've got and extra set of driving lights so I'll be able to switch between the two if I get tired of them. I kinda like the yellow lens with the silver car.

Re: '99 SE front engine noise

Get a tensioner pully tool and release the tension from the sepentine belt (for a few seconds) while the engine is running. This should give you an idea if the noise is external (PS Pump, Water Pump, etc.) or internal.

Amber Fog Lights

I'd like to try making my standard (OEM housings) driving lights - fog lights and was wondering:

1) should i use lamin-x amber film to cover the clear lens

or

2) buy amber (yellow) bulbs, if this option, any bulb suggestions?

I haven't found a decent pair of round fog lights that fit the SSE ...
