That is an awesome car, should be a good project! I love a four door hardtop, that's what my 66 Cutlass was.

Definitely can't wait to hear more about the front suspension progress! I also had to take the chance to get a picture of the Trofeo and SSE when you parked it there.

Re: I did a thing again again again

I can't wait to see what it ends up like!

I would think the GP GXP front calipers would bolt up to it, they fit on our PAU and STS, 12.7" rotor. They fit under the 17" wheels too.

Yes, the SSEi is going in for some major surgery soon. The car is just not in the best of shape right now.

Matt, next year I'll bring some sturdier zip-ties to fix the land of misfit chairs.

We went up to Detroit the night before the last stop of the power tour, so we could go to the GM RenCen, since neither of us has ever been inside the place. Obligatory parking garage pictures:

Re: Highest mileage 3800?

Most of the 3800s I've had have been over 150k, the lowest was my 01 (44k when purhcased sold with 87k) and my highest was 255k on my red 96 SSEi. Next runner up was the Olds 88 at 216k, I kept that engine for racekar things... My Ultra is just about 10k shy of 200k, and I intend to double that car ...

We shall be there, probably Friday evening to Sunday. At this point not sure what we'll take up there, hoping the 92 SSE is done and safe to drive by then. We have many backups if not though.

Oh I'm sure, the last straw was actually on the way home from the color tour, some idiot two cars in front of me brake checked car #2 in line because he was riding too close, long story short the ole Buick had to find a way to do an 85-0 really quick, it gave me flashbacks. lol

Re: Brake Upgrade

Glad to hear it finally turned out Greg! I'm going to be ordering parts soon to do GP GXP front brakes on my Ultra, a few hasty stops have worn out the already too small brakes, it takes a lot to stop over 4k lb.
