Re: Car alarm goes off at night.
Same thing was happening with my 97 SSEi and I had my mechanic disconnect the alarm for the horn only. Everything else still works with the fob just the horn alarm is gone.

Re: Keyless Entry Alarm
I will disconnect the trunk wire but it may be awhile before I found out if that's the problem, as I said it happens without rhyme or reason, I realize fixing the problem is the best option but it sounds like it could be a trying game, that's why I thought if possible to just disconnect the horn ...

Keyless Entry Alarm
I have a 97 SSEi 40th. The factory alarm has gone off about four times in the last year for no apparent reason. I have replaced the battery in both key fobs, no affect. I stopped using the fob to the car and tried it with the manual locks on the door the alarms still goes off. Even when the alarm is ...

Re: ABS Light,etc
there is no common time the no traction and ABS lights coming on, they come on when I'm driving and not applying the brakes, if I shut off the car and restart they are sometimes off and sometimes they are still on.
I'm going to have to check out the speed wheel sensors, that seams like a good place ...

ABS Light,etc
I have 2 questions- first my ABS light and no traction light "occasionally" come on, any ideas why?
2nd question- I replaced both the sepentine belts about 2 weeks ago and now I am getting a squeal, although I don't think it's from a slipping belt, it does get quieter when it warms up but if you ...

Re: ELC Nonsence
Or disconnect the ELC? Is it really a necessary function if you have good struts on the back anyway?

ELC Nonsence
This pump is driving me crazy. Is will run for about 15 seconds and shuts off but it does this almost every 2 or 3 minutes. The CCR has gone down long ago but like so many others I don't care about that at least it's quiet!! I have had the struts checked out and been told they are fine.

Re: Amp and Sub
I have looked at the AOEM-GM21 and maybe thats the easiet way to go they seem to run between $40 to $60, don't you need a female plug from the factory wiring harness then?

Re: Amp and Sub
This setup was from my old aftermarket Pioneer stereo that had the RCA output. The factory stereo in the Bonne does not have these. I don't have the plug for the speaker input but I assume one can be purchased.

Re: Amp and Sub
I have an old Sherwood Amp, here is a picture of the front and back, I should be able to just patch in from the rear speakers and run a hot wire from the battery and ground?

Re: Amp and Sub
I was hoping to use the factory head unit and just integrate the Amp and Sub into the existing system. So the audio interface is just if you change the headset to an after market system?
Is it possible to just patch in the Amp and Sub to the existing system without losing factory features?

Amp and Sub
I know there was a ton of information on this subject at the other website no longer accessible. Anyway how to- set up an AMP with a sub and not lose any steering wheel or other factory settings, and where is the factory bose amp located anyway??
