thanks for your responses.
I torqued the nut to 118 ft/lbs myself.
I thought it could of been a tire issue, so I got a tire rotation and balance and the sound is still there. Tread is good on all tires.
I can't imagine it being the bearing after I installed two new ones.
Control arm bushing? Maybe ...

Re: Can't figure out front end noise..

It's obviously not the bearing. Everything looks tight so I have no idea now. Anybody?? before I take it into the shop and get ...

Yes, I replaced the whole strut assembly. I will check the swaybar bushing. I hope it's that and not the ball joint. thank you.

Can't figure out front end noise..
about one month ago, I replaced the front driver wheelbearing with a timkin, after having a loud humming noise. After replacement, the humming noise is still there but not as loud. It gets loud when turning to the right. I just changed my rotors and pads and didn't notice any play. Any ideas?

Re: New hub assembly question
Thanks for the response. I'm changing the brakes this weekend so I'll check the dust plate. Cv joints make a clicking sound when they're bad, not humming right?

New hub assembly question
I just replacement my front driver hub assembly on my 03 sle. I've noticed a slight humming noise coming from that area only when I'm slowing down in idle (no brakes applied), starting around 30mph.
My question is, is this normal for new bearings (possibly a break in period?)
I do need new pads ...

Re: Fuel Line Connector Elbow Leak
Thanks guys for your help. I think I found the connector elbow at advance auto (dorman 800-125) they had to order it so if it's not the right one i'll go with rock auto's as harofreak mentioned.

Re: Fuel Line Connector Elbow Leak
I checked autozone and o'reilly. Neither had the correct size. I'm going to try the dealer tomorrow but I bet they will try and sell me the whole fuel line =/

Fuel Line Connector Elbow Leak
I have a fuel leak coming from the fuel line connector elbow on the fuel rail. After doing some research in these blogs, I've noticed the O-Rings go bad in the elbow. Does anyone know if the size of the elbow is 5/16x5/16? (Part Number: 800-081.5)?? I measured the end that connects to the hose and ...

Front strut assembly replacement
I just bought a pair of Monroe strut assemblys and would like to install them. I've been reading the Haines repair manual and watching some videos. I can't find a video for my car (03 sle) and was wondering if anyone had a post on how to do this with pictures. Thank you.

Near stalling when coming to stop and idle
I have a 03 bonne sle with 122k. Just yesterday she started to die out but would come back to life. She would dip to about 500rpm then shoot back up to 1200 at idle and or when coming to stop (5 or 10mph) also sometimes at about 30 mph and climbing, it almost feels like a downshift but its not (rpms ...

Re: Thud noise and cracking noise when turning the wheel
Yes, the sound is coming from the top. I just replaced my tie-rods so I know it can't be those also for the fact that this noise was present before I replaced the rods. The inter. shaft has not been replaced... Thanks for your help guys!

Thud noise and cracking noise when turning the wheel
2003 Bonneville SLE 106,000 miles. When I turn either way, I hear a thud and cracking noise coming from the right front end. The noise only happens when I'm in the motion of turning the wheel. I'm afraid of taking it to the shop because I don't know a lot about cars and I would eat up anything they ...

HUD
I have a 03 SLE without a HUD. I would like to install one and would like to know if this is possible. I have the HUD projector, switch, and dash trim. Is there anything else I need for this to work if it is possible? Thank you
