Re: Audible Click and Dimmed Dash/HUD/Radio/HVAC Lights

Ok, my leak is now taken care of, I removed the wheel liners and got to the drain lines. They were surprisingly plugged up with a little plastic riveted plug, very very similar to a plastic wall anchor used in drywall. I assume the Ponty's are the same, does anyone happen to know why those are there ...

Audible Click and Dimmed Dash/HUD/Radio/HVAC Lights

Hi everyone, hoping somebody has encountered this issue before. I have a 2004 Buick PAU that I'm slowly rehabbing.

A little background quick: This last week in Iowa it's been raining a ton. After a flash flood type storm, I found my passenger floorboard a little wet, which I'm 99% sure came from my ...

Re: Sunroof Leaks: First Check the Drain Nipples

Thank you for this! I got my Park Ave back in July and the first thing I encountered was this same thing. I tried running weed whip line through the drain holes without luck and with lack of time had a shop take care of it. I think they blew air down the lines which is a no-no if I understand ...

Re: 2000+ SE Water pump Change Write-up

Really nice write up. I'd also encourage to shop-vac any pieces of gasket that are bladed off in the event they fall into the valleys of the coolant.

Also, it's totally user preference as you mentioned, but I prefer to throw on a light coat of water pump/thermostat gasket maker on both sides of ...

Re: 00 Bonnie SSEI Acc. Belt

Just did this on my 04 PAU, it was admittedly a bit tough to get around the tensioner but when I was able to it sort of fell into place with the grooves. Make sure your following the correct pulleys and that you're not hung up at an angle on the main drive pulley at the bottom.

I found a helpful ...

Re: Coolant elbow installation

Sorry for the bad info on the RTV, I guess keep it in mind if it leaks at all. I have read quite a bit about them leaking and needing RTV, but many threads were from years back perhaps the parts are improved. Some have said it's the only o-ring ever they've used RTV on. There are ACDelco aluminum ...

Re: Coolant elbow installation

Sorry, no I don't think you can. I just finished this job a few days ago and they go in together at the same time. Be sure to put a little RTV on there to help it seal (or so I read, I haven't started mine up yet!).

EDIT - and of course go with the aluminum ones. I was surprised to see that the ...

New Member - 2004 Park Avenue Ultra

Hi all!
New member here, but been a lurker for some time. This is my 3rd 3800, 2nd supercharged and I just love these things. A few months ago I bought a 2004 Park Avenue Ultra, and while it's a tank, it's one of the comfiest rides I've had. It's got 96k, stock, but am currently upgrading the LIM ...

Re: 2000 SSEI periodic engine stalling

Have you ever changed out the fuel filter? How's your air filter? Just thinking basic first...does anyone know how a faulty PCV valve behaves? (curious for myself too)

Additionally, if it helps anyone else, I was able to confirm the intake manifold fuel rail studs to be M6 - 1.0 at Autozone but unfortunately they did not carry the ones pursued.

Haro - thank you very much, very kind of you! Followed quite a few of your posts, they are gold.

As silly as this sounds, since I'm so new the site isn't allowing me to PM quite yet. Let me engage in some more discussions and I'll surely send you a PM as soon as I can!

L67 Part # Help Request - Fuel Rail Intake Manifold Studs

Hi all! Long-time lurker, have to say I love this site. I use it a lot for my 04 PAU, which currently is stock except for a significant maintenance update I'm about to finish (LIM, Water Pump, Plugs/Wires, and a bunch of other stuff).

Well...when I went to reinstall my Fuel Rail, I apparently ...
