Re: Vulcan 3.0L V6 opinions
It sounds like it should be a good car, the Vulcan, while underpowered, is a good motor, and by 2002 Ford had all but phased out the more troublesome AX4S in favor of the AX4N (Synchronized/Non-Synchronized). Another notorious rust spot is the dog legs behind the rear set of doors. Check the ...

Problems with the 02
Well, my old 02 LeSabre became my dad's after I bought the LaCrosse, and it has been serving him very well until this week, it has an issue that's perplexing us both.

Re: Working on the car, need some advice
That was what I had meant, the only way I could even get it to start was get it on an angle, from there whenever I had wiggled it it wouldn't come up any farther, at a point it would get so stuck that it would hold itself out of the tank.

Re: Working on the car, need some advice
Well I had started working on the car around 11 am on Friday, and finally through in the towel around 6:30-7 pm that night, I would have tried again Saturday, but I had plans to go up to the Sandusky area to visit my girlfriend and her parents. That and waking up Saturday almost every inch of my ...

Re: Working on the car, need some advice
Well after another hour or 2 of trying to get it out last night, including help from my father, it was a bust. will have to try again another day. He is a mechanical engineer who for the longest time did most of his own maintenance on cars, so him and I both know how to, and don't mind turning a ...

Working on the car, need some advice (Update with pictures)
I've been around browsing the forums for awhile, trying to get the work back the LeSabre up to 100%, especially since in a few months it is going to become my dad's car, and I have ran into a big snag.

Several Questions with the 02...
My 02 LeSabre is quikly approaching 140k miles, and for the most part she rides and drives like she did when i bought her with 64k. However, as she gets older she is starting to show her age just a little and I have a few questions.

Re: New pics of the LeSabre
Thanks guys, the grille isn't blacked out, it is painted in Dark Gray Metallic Paint from Rustoleum, I've painted the grille (obviously) the trim around the badges on the front fenders, and what was the light gray area on the rear light bar, around the license plate and reverse lights. I have plans ...

Re: Why does it seem like I can never have anything nice?
The NADA value of my car is ~$6625, because even though the car has 105K miles it is still below industry average.
State Farm will repair any damaged car up to 80% of the car's value, which in my case the limit is $5500, the amount of damage was $5444.70. So even though the claim had to go through ...

Re: Why does it seem like I can never have anything nice?
It is random, the police said they're has been a string of vandalizing going on, several people have had windows blown out, someones barn had been torched as well as a pickup truck. The police had caught the group of 5 kids doing this ranging from 12-18. They cannot pin my car on them though... I ...

Pretty much check the tires and fluids.
fill the washer bottle up with Prestone de-icer washer fliuid.
Switch the floor mats from the ones that came with the car to a 4 piece set of Goodyear floormats.
Put the snow bush in the trunk.
