Yep, don't know how I missed it but there it is on page 3-106. Now it doesn't hurt my ears!

Fog light solution
I read with interest and amazement the huge thread concerning all the problems people have with their fog light bulbs burning out. For those of you with all the problems you may find this interesting.
My 04 GXP has never had a fog light bulb go out. They both are still working just fine even though ...

Cabin air filter deal
I know there is a good thread on here concerning the cabin filter but thought I would let everyone know that NAPA has them for less than $10. I picked one up today and changed it out in less than two minutes.
I got the one without the frame. I just pulled out the old filter (yes it was filthy ...

Re: Temperature Gauge/Electrical Mystery
OK, back to the start of this thread:
It's been nice here in CA the last few days so I flushed the DexCool out and since I was messing with the cooling system I also replaced the thermostat and coolant temperature sensor. The thermostat was an easy change-out but the sensor was a bit of a pain to ...

Chime is way too loud
Does anyone else find that the chime (at start-up, keys in while door open etc.) is extremely loud in their GXP? I have had many other vehicles and this is by far the loudest; to the point of being uncomfortable, not just annoying.
Any ideas on how to lower the volume?

Re: Side body panels loose
While searching for an online source for the 3M tape I came across a good technical bulletin put out by 3M called "Repair Procedures for Pressure-Sensitive Trim Using 3M Acrylic Plus Tapes". It was very helpful.
I can't link the PDF directly so just follow this and you'll find it:

Re: Temperature Gauge/Electrical Mystery
Sounds like I'm in good hands here.
I know nothing trumps actual experience.
By the way, what antifreeze is a good replacement for the DexCool?

Side body panels loose
Does anyone have any experience with the lower part of the outer plastic front door panels coming loose from the underlying metal door skin? Both panels on the front doors of my '04 Bonneville have come loose.

Re: Temperature Gauge/Electrical Mystery
Here's an update on the temp gauge issue. I hope it's a tutorial for other members as well.
As noted in previous post: my mechanic believes the instrument cluster is bad but doesn't have a Tech2 to cycle the temp gauge to be positive it's bad. So yesterday I took the Bonnie to a GM dealer (temp ...

Re: Temperature Gauge/Electrical Mystery
Thanks guys for the replies. What a great site.
I have requests in to *B2* and Morad for an instrument cluster. Thanks again for the tip.
Mechanic did mention that the battery cable could be the problem. He said he cleaned the posts etc. and reconnected but temp gauge still reads hot. Not sure if ...

Temperature Gauge/Electrical Mystery
Just signed up as a new member and need some advice. I'll try to be succinct with explaining this but you'll need some details (after all it is probably electrical in nature).
I have a 2004 GXP with approx. 34,000 miles.
The temp gauge climbed suddenly (pegged out on max!!) on a recent drive ...
